Hello my name is Katie I drive a 1999 Rodeo my car started shifting hard August of 2005 so I took it in to Tanner Transmission 10/05/2005 they told me it was my transmission and it needed to be rebuilt so they rebuilt the transmission and I purchased the ownership warranty
They had my car for a week I got it back and it still had the hard shift that it had before so I took it back again they had it for another week and they told me there was nothing wrong with the car so I get the car back for the second time it was still shifting hard so I called and told them the car still wasn't shifting right they told me that the new transmission just needed to break its self in.
I live in Ogden and commute to 72 South in Salt lake, an hour drive every day for work. So it was killing me not to have my car.
4/27/2006 the Transmission light came on, the car had never stopped shifting hard so I take it back to Tanner they had it for a week and rebuilt the transmission again so they say. I get it back. The car still shifts hard they told me the transmission was shifting fine.
When I say the car shifts hard I mean the whole car slams in and out of 3rd gear everyone that road in the car could tell something was not right. They have never fix the original problem.
6/28/2006 the car was shifting really hard and the transmission light had come on again so I took it back to Tanner for the fourth time. They had my car for Two weeks, told me they did extensive test driving and never found a problem with the car during this two weeks. I get the car back and the original problem still excited it was shifting hard in and out of 3rd gear.
04/28/07 my car was shifting really hard I was afraid it was going to break down so I called Tanner and took it in they had the car for three days and said they couldn't find a thing wrong with it when I went to pick it up they would not give me any kind of recite or invoice of any kind to prove they had had the car. they said no physical work had been done they didn't need to show proof of anything.
05/02/07 I had had the car back for a day and a half on the way to work Wednesday morning the A/T oil Temp light came on "Automatic Transmission Oil Temp" you could smell a burning smell I was close to work so I called the Ogden Tanner from there.
Martin Nott the manager in Ogden had me take it to the Tanner in Midvale 6905 S. State Sean is the manager over there he said the district manager Bob Nott was going to help me out so they shipping my car over to 1833 S. State street.
Bob Nott Martin big brother also was the manager of the Ogden store the first time my transmission was rebuilt. Now they have had my car for 7 days Bob said maybe someone would get a chance to look at it today. they have had my car in the shop 6 times now.
He thinks its a computer problem and that it will not be covered by my warranty. I need help I'm getting ripped off!
