Attention all clients I want to shed some light to your situations. I am an ex-employee of Tax Masters and truth be it if I were to disclose my name you most likely have spoken to me before or know of me. I was fired from this company for standing up for client's rights.. so I am shedding light on it all and will happily answer any questions you have. Email me at (((ROR redacted))) . First off I want you to know that none of these employees are educated. Patrick Cox is cheap and he hires ANYONE. I wish you could see the people in the office. Of course Patrick Cox wouldnt know since he never is in office. I worked there for years and have seen him twice and never spoken a word to him. You can most likely tell how uneducated these customer service reps are by the way the speak to you. If you have retained their services for tax preparation I feel so sorry for you!! It will be done a year later. Truth be told there are only a hand full of tax preparers and we have clients who have been paid in full for months and their files are sitting on shelves. Not to mention some very important info for all of you who are trying to sue them::: Tax Masters is "Out Sorcing" tax returns. Which means they have a verbal aggreement with another firm to ship you guys personal info off to them and have them prep the returns and send them back to us and they send it to you like we did it. This is illegal!!! They have to have your permission to do this and they know it. That is why the customer service reps are told not to tell you. And people who have not yet signed up for services please do not do the third party verification over the phone. Once you do they will never give you your money back... even without a signed contract. I've seen cases where sales men(tax consultants) have signed clients up for services that they dont need.. they lie to clients just to get money and then say too late you cant get a refund. I have sooo much information to tell. I want Tax Masters closed down!!

I was a client of Tax Masters, and also had a horrible experience as a client. My time as a client was totally the worst experience ever!! There was never any communication after I paid them, call after call to them was ignored........ if I was even able to get through. Most of time I would hold endlessly with the auto attendant announcing what order I was in the call process.
During my time as a client I had a hold placed on my bank account, and had a lien placed on my home. There was a CDP hearing scheduled in which, they failed to represent me, as promised. Then my case was closed by the IRS, and I received a letter from the IRS......stating that all of the paperwork was filed too late or never even filed.
I have to agree with you that these were some of the most uneducated people in the CSR positions that I have ever dealt with. This was a nightmare, in a time that I needed professional assistance, that I paid big money for and was treated with total negligence.
If there is some information that would help in litigation, such as proof of the 3rd party tax preparation........I would appreciate the firms name. I would also be willing to join others who have been ripped off by Tax Masters in filing a legal claim of some sort. The above only describes briefly what transpired; I have numerous emails and other proof of negligent treatment
