We never list a vehicle as excellent. He test drove this vehicle before purchasing it and had he asked he could have taken it to his mechanic before buying it.  This vehicle was sold AS_IS -NO WARRANTY. We have the buyers guide that Mr DelCiappo signed on file if needed.

The Kelly Blue book value for 1997 Toyota Corolla with 165000 miles with all of the vehicle options, in excellent conditions is $2600. Tempest Motors listed this car for sale at $3300, therefore Tempest Motors must have assumed the vehicle to be in excellent condition. I personally do not have a mechanic on hand and do most of my own car repairs, the struts and rotors I did replace, the other work had to be done by a mechanic. I being the buyer do assume 1/2 of the cost to repair this vehicle, Tempest Motors as the seller assume no responsiblity and other potential buyers from Tempest Motors, should be made aware of their business ethics.

First of all the Kelly Blue Book is only a guide on pricing. Its not a definative book. Its what the SUGGESTED price is. A dealership can offer a used car at any price they wish. Second....ALL used cars are sold as is UNLESS a warrenty comes with the purchase or a warrenty was purchased at the time of sale.

That being said, you can post and complain all you like but if they have you on file and your signature on the paperwork, you really dont have a leg to stand on. They have you by the short and curlies. EVERY single repair you have done is the recommended repairs for ANY used vehicle. I doubt that you will be able to get anything for the repairs as they have your signature stateing that you understand the vehicle is AS IS.

As for the BBB, you would have more luck getting money back standing outside the dealership with some freinds and picketing. The BBB IS NOT A REGULATORY AGENCY!!! They are a consumer advocacy group. THEY HAVE NO POWER!!!!!!! Companies can PAY for a favorable grade. Youre barking up the wrong tree there.

Like I said, picket them. You will see more for your efforts then sitting at home complaining to a website.
