The Corvette Diner is overpriced and the food is terrible. I ordered a sandwich was practically not edible. THe waitstaff never asked me how my meal was or checked up on our table after delivering the food. THe buss girl asked me why I didnt eat the sandwich when she was clearing my colleauges plates. I told her it was terrible. She insisted I order something else togo, such as a salad. I was guilted into this, I was not hungry anymore.
When the check arrived, I was charged for the veggie sandwich and fries, a total of 10 dollars plus the 3 dollar charge for soggy waffle fries. Additionally, the sandwich was soggie and greasy. The manager came by to check on us and said she would take the sandwich off the bill and bring us a new one. WHen she brought the new check, the more expensive salad that I did not even want was added to the bill while the sandwich was taken off.
The greek salad did not have chicken on it, it had iceberg lettuce, 2 pepperciini's, a couple of cucumbers and olives and 5 peices of feta cheese. It was 11 dollars. I could have bought this at 7-11 for less and not had to tip a waitress that tries to upsell everything.
We will never return to this overpriced poor service restuarant. I will tell everyone I know that this place is terrible. I expect that the poor economy will make it difficult for this place to stay thriving.
