Thomas Homes - Tom LaBarbera was hired to build my home in Genoa Nevada, Wouldnt show up for weeks at time and made mestakes while building my home and then charged me for the cost over runs Boulder City Nevada
Tom LaBarbera was hired to build a home for me in Genoa Nevada. The home was a million dollor home. It took himm 6 months longer to frame the fome than he said it would. Which cost me tons of money! He would show up one week and not show up for three weeks and he never worked a full day. This person promised us the world. Once the contract was signed it was all bullshit from there on out. What one of my pet peeves was he made mistakes when building the home and always blamed it on someone else. But the cost over runs were his big thing. He charged me over 30% of the original contract for framing. I just wanted people to know what a little scam builder he was. Best of luck! Mark

In the early 1990's (approx. 1990-1991) Labarbera/Peterson Construction did the following work under Joe Gebhardt Construction, the general contractor for the Genoa Lakes property. The job was for framing labor only costs at $8 per SF. There could not have been any overruns as this was a labor only contract with the general contractor for the project, who is named above. In 1997, Mark Michelson died in a plane crash. Labarbera/Peterson Construction closed in 1997 and has never reopened. Thomas Labarbera did no work for anyone named Mark M other than Mark Michelson. Joe Gebhardt currently resides in Henderson, NV. The referenced complaint is either a hoax, or an out-and-out lie since this complaint was just recently filed with ripoff.com. Thomas homes has had a license in California since 1989 and in Nevada since 1990, and had not had one complaint with either for the Contractors Boards for any wrong-doing. Thomas Labarbera
