Thomas Roma conducted multimple sexual misconduct with at least five former students. The sexual misconduct includes sexual harassment, manipulation and coercion to oral rape.
This is reported in The New York Times.
Thomas Roma was an Ivy League professor at Columbia University but is reported to have retired the same day the article was published; he also taugh at School of Visual Art and Yale University and other schools over about thrity years or more.
According to he New York Times article, Roma's lawyer, Douglas Jacobs, said about the accusations, '"The statements they are making about his asserted misconduct are replete with inaccuracies and falsehoods.“'
Thomas Roma is, at this moment, represented by fine art photography gallery Steven Kasher Gallery, but this might change.
Douglas Jacobs continues, to day '"All four have taken isolated, innocent incidents, none of them predatory, and have created fictitious versions of reality that are libelous and in the present political climate designed to damage his career and his personal life. Professor Roma’s sympathies then and now lie with those who have been mistreated in any way and he completely fails to understand why these women have chosen to create these complaints two decades after the alleged facts supposedly occurred."'
Roma retired from teaching at Columbia University on January 3, 2018.
