I purchased a GE model 27951 DECT6.0 in December 2007; and the phone worked fine; til 3 weeks ago. The display shows nothing, no numbers dialed, no caller id info.

I called the 800# in the manual, then was directed to call 310-953-9028 - a number in CA, but you get people in the Philippines anytime you call, and they refuse to give you a person in the US. I have asked for numbers to speak with someone in the US, and all numbers given or located lead to the Philippines.

When asking for an Return Merchandise Authorization #, the chick I spoke with did not even know what I was asking for and told me they don't do that. However, after about 15 minutes, I finally got one. Then I was given a different address: 1101B Burgundy Drive, El Paso, TX 79907.

As I was packing this up, I did a reverse address search, does not come to Thomson. Called again, told them this does not come back to Thomson, they said it was their warehouse.

I have tried in all the states they are listed in their manual to find a phone number to speak with someone in the US; to no avail. I have utilized their email contact, no response.

What the heck kind of company is this???? I am dismayed that I am unable to reach anyone in the United States to clarify some information. I am afraid I will never see a replacement phone.

I will not purchase any product that deals with Thomson. If this company is legit, why do they keep "moving" their warehouse??? No legitimate company can afford to do this as often as this company does!!! Why is there no number where you can contact someone in this country??? Any other global company you do business with who has call sites elsewhere also gives you the option to ask for and receive a "customer care" representative in our country.

Any suggestions or help??? I have spent a fortune calling the 310-953-9028 "California" number and getting the people in the Philippines.

OK - so I called today to see the status of my replacement phone. The person - again in the Philippines, was given the RMA number, then she asked how I shipped it, gave her the info, including the tracking number. She told me something I already knew, that the item was received at their warehouse. However, today she cannot tell me when I will get a new phone, because they are "transitioning" their computer system. Asked her why she was not able to tell me that PRIOR to my giving her information that verified I did, indeed, send the phone. If they are "transitioning" their system, then they would have known that prior to even attempting to look something up. They do not know when they will be complete with the transitioning, therefore, cannot tell me when they will be able to ship a new product. So . . . . business stands still while they do this. . . Is this really a legitimate company?????? Still unable to get a phone number to someone in the US. I did get an email from GE, giving me a number to contact . . . but it is no longer in service. This was just 2 weeks ago. Never will I buy a product that includes Thomson as the warranty.
