Around May, 2006, Tony Seruga (real name: Anthony J. Seruga) sold a program through his company Digital Maverics, which was called Build a Better Business (BABB).
He charged $2,995.00 as a down payment and then $1,297.00 per month for 6 months, for a total of $10,777.00 each person. It was reported that about 50 people signed up.
In his sales letter, he guaranteed to show us how to build a seven figure business, or he promised to either refund the whole "tuition", or he and his staff to build it for us, and deliver the business to us.
To date, more than one year has passed, Nobody in our group of 50 people is satisfied with the results of this program. Nobody ever received a refund either.
Tony has essentially disappeared. The only person ever responsed our email is Rich Duris. He seems not to face the situation directly and beat around the bushes all the time.
The group filed/are filing a criminal complaint with the California Attorney General, the US Attorney General, FTC, FBI and BBB alleging fraud and internet crimes.
In addition to this apparent fraudulent action, Tony then made a second offer in Jan 2007, to sell targeted internet traffic (traffic that was generated by email and directed to your site) for $2,500 for a lot of 50,000 leads to your site. It has been reported by a previous member of his staff that he sold $270,000 worth of this traffic the first day it was offered.
To date, it has been reported by a number of the people who bought the traffic, they have either not received any traffic, or it has been far below the volume purchased. In addition, those who could track the traffic have found it to be coming from a pop-under site that charges a very small fee for leads - something along the lines of $200 for 50,000 leads. Needless to say, this was not what Tony promised.
Some members paid by credit card and were able to charge back though they received threating emails from Rick Duris. Most people paid by bank draft and paypal, and are unable to charge back.
