Salesmen aren't knowledgeable AT ALL on what they're selling. My salesman didn't even know the rates they offered. Long story short, the "manager," Sherman lied about giving me a trial period so I had to pay a cancellation fee just to be done with these jokers. THEN, they got me locked into an equipment leasing contract because they failed to inform me that the equipment was leased through a different company. They've cost me almost $2500 just because they lied. Total jerks and very unprofessional. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I rarely write negative reviews but these guys have really ticked me off.

Here's the letter I wrote them when I was trying to cancel and they wouldn't take my phone calls.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Since becoming a customer with your company, I have been lied to, ignored, and treated very unprofessionally by your Transtech employees. Upon signing up to run credit cards with Transtech, I was lied to and mislead into believing I had 60 days to “test out” the service and equipment which I thought was reasonable. A nervous representative came into my store and said he could save me money because y’all offered very low rates. When I asked him what the rates were he couldn’t even give me an answer. Perhaps you should actually train your employees before sending them out to speak to small businesses and represent your company. I’m the only one who works at my store so I’m always busy but I wanted to hear what this representative said. He decided to call his manager, Sherman, who is the one who told me I had a 60 day trial period. I didn’t have time to finish up the conversation as it was a busy day for me so I figured I could sign it and look at the paperwork the next day. The days got busier and I wanted to test out the service with the equipment so I waited until the equipment got here before I went through a “testing” period. The equipment arrived and I decided to search for a user manual online where I discovered sites that I could purchase the equipment from. I would be paying out the wazoo for equipment that I could have bought outright for less than $400. Well I was still in my “60 day trial period” so I figured I would just call and cancel with no problem. Certainly not the case. First off, I couldn’t get anyone to call me back. When someone finally did have the courtesy to call me back, I told them I wanted to cancel because the leasing equipment was ridiculous and I had researched Transtech on the internet and found out the company lacked happy customers. They said I had to call LFG to cancel the equipment which I did and they were extremely rude and disrespectful so I quit calling them and wanted Transtech to take care of everything. By this time, I was 30 days into my “60 day trial period” and I was now being told that if I wanted to cancel I had to pay a $495 termination fee! What?! Sherman told me I could test everything out for 60 days so he outright lied to me to get me to sign a contract. Basically, I’ve been told that although Sherman told me I had 60 days to test everything out, I was out of luck because I “signed a contract” that said I only had 30 days. Shouldn’t I be able to trust what your company’s representatives are saying to me? Are they encouraged to lie to customers and prey on new small businesses just to get a signature? It’s disturbing to me that a representative was sent into the field without being trained or having any knowledge of the product. He didn’t inform me of any terms, didn’t know anything about rates, and knew absolutely nothing about the company he was working for. He certainly didn’t inform me that I was signing a 60 month contract with a separate company so they could take advantage of me being a new business owner. I have filed a complaint with the BBB to which the response is the same one I’ve been getting which is basically, “you signed a contract so you’re screwed.” Shouldn’t a company be expected to take responsibility of what their employees tell customers? Shouldn’t y’all be held accountable for Sherman’s lies? Is this acceptable in your offices? Do you encourage employees to lie just to get a signature? I couldn’t even fathom lying to my customers because I want to build a good reputation. You all have complaint after complaint and you don’t seem to care about your company’s reputation so you just brush people off and take their money. You don’t care about customer service and that should be your #1 priority. It seems like all you care about is making a quick buck and that saddens me that companies think it’s okay to operate that way. I can tell you right now that I will not let this go. I don’t like to be taken advantage of or lied to.  I will continue to call and/or  email Mr. Michael Moore who Sherman told me to contact to have my contract closed. I have now emailed him seven times and he has only responded ONCE. Mind you, my emails have been courteous and polite and he still doesn’t even have the decency to respond.

I would like my account closed with no termination fee and I would also like you all to contact LFG and close my account there as well. I know it’s possible to close an account with their company. If y’all are able to open accounts that means you have a contact there who can also close accounts. I was informed by an employee of Transtech who told me that it has been done before and Transtech has closed an equipment contract. I want this done, please.
