We take pride in our quality, and customer service. One thing that Melody Turner failed to state was that her home was foreclosed by the bank shortly after it was completed. The house was sold immediatly after it went on the market. We have had nothing but positive reviews from the bank and the new owner regarding the workmanship.
It is sad that Melody Turner wants to blame the builder, bank, and everyone else for her and her husbands financial shortcoming instead of bearing that on her own shoulders. As one of Georgia's largest scattered lot builders we have thousands of satisfied customers that recomend us to their friends and family all the time. We can not please everyone but we try.

Four years ago, we had much the same experiences with TCH that others have had. We'll be paying for their mistakes well into the future due to cheap materials, cheap labor and especially construction shortcuts. Anyone considering TCH to build their house should consider looking at different companies - I don't doubt that TCH have built homes that are satisfactory, but you should be alarmed to see that there are plenty of dissatisfied customers. Also, "Similar Experience" wrote: "One last thing. I learned I will never do business with anyone that uses an Arbitration Agreement in their contract which mine had. That's a Red Flag and tells you the deck is stacked against you from the start. I will never make that mistake again." Amen to that! I finally got the Better Business Bureau involved, but they advised me that they wouldn't proceed with a complaint due to this Arbitration Agreement.

Yes, Been there don that, got the tatoo. About 1 1/2 years ago had the worst experience of my life with Trinity Custom Homes. Now to be fair they tell you upfront no one can build a perfect home....and they don't. I Fought tooth and nail to get them follow their own plans. Got accussed of non-payment (and a lien placed on the property) even though they had recieved 87% of what the contract called for. They quit working on the home in a effort to wait me out. Which did not work since this was a second home. I Had to get a lawyer. Which made the general manager at the time so mad he called my cell phone ( I have the recordings) told me they were taking out all the appliances and disabling my heating and air ( in february), threatened me with foreclosure. I had to lock them out of the property. It was my worst nightmare come true. I still have my files and pictures. I am not new to building a home this was the third house I had built or was involved with and have 22 years in an industry that deals with builders. So I knew enough about construction and how to read plans to know when errors were happening. Won't tell all the mistakes they made not enough space, let's just say it was many. Some were funny. However had I not made the effort to get them corrected I would be in a real mess today...now that it is raining in Georgia again. In the end when we signed to final papers I was so glad to be rid of them, as I am sure they were glad to be rid of me. I had some warranty issues that were not finished , Not their Fault, I am sure they would have come back out......I just did not want them back on my property anymore. Did I have a good experience...NO. Would I ever reccomend them..NO. Did they have a good experience with me...NO One last thing. I learned I will never do business with anyone that uses an Arbitration Agreement in their contract which mine had. That's a Red Flag and tells you the deck is stacked against you from the start. I will never make that mistake again. I think as long as your project is going along fine you will be happy. What they put into their homes is pretty good stuff. However if problems arise be ready for an all out war with them to the bitter end.

Representatives from TCH and the building Superintendent made contact with me concerning my earlier report on this website. They came to the house to investigate the claims that were made and did offer to repair the issues. Most items were warranty issues (broken concrete, screens, vinyl siding). The reps did a thorough inspection of the house, and even found and fixed a few things that I had not noticed before. I have to give kudos to Trinity Custom Homes for finding the time and making the effort to make things right, even though the house went out of warranty a year ago. We still have differing opinions on who-knew-about-what-problems and when, but that is moot point now. The company has made good on it's repairsand I am satisfied with the outcome. Note to any future home buyers, applicable to any home builder: make sure that if there is a problem that you let the builder know, even bug them if you have too, as close as possible to the end of the build. Some of these unpleasantries could have been avoided if there had been better communication at the time of settlement. It's easy at the end of the build, when you are occupied with moving in, getting things turned on, getting things settled, to forget about issues that need to be fixed until later.

Apparently, people do read the Rip-Off Report. Although I was unable to take the call, Trinity Custom Homes contacted me yesterday after reading this website. The representative wants me to call him back, which I plan to do after getting a little information together. It's TWO YEARS down the road from the construction of the house, so i'm not sure what this chat will accomplish, but i'm going to call anyway. I do have one new issue with the house that I want to discuss because i'm not sure if it's normal, a major, or a minor issue. One thing that the rep did state on the phone was that the issues I named above were unknown to Trinity and they thought we were totally happy. To that I say Feldergarb (look it up). The only things that I did NOT mention to the Superintendent at the time of construction was the pee in the corner and contractor taking a dump in the toilet ( I was just ready to be in my house, and there was really nothing TCH could do about it anyway ). The rest of the items (hole left in outside wall where water heater outlet was, broken blocks, broken screen) I was told would be fixed. As I said, two years later, this all is pretty much a moot point. The house is liveable, and i've done much to change it to make it home. All the talk in the world is not going to change the two main factors that I reported to this website in the first place - lack of professionalism and lack of oversight. If TCH has changed these things, then good for anyone else who might use the company to build their home.

I have just recently had my home built with Trinity. They have gone out of their way in making sure that they had addressed all my questions and concerns in building my home. My wife and I was very nervous about building our first home and we took years in researching builders. We finally decided to go with Trinity and we havent had any regrets. Andy proved to be very knowledgable in what needed to be done and to get the results that I wanted. They were able to answer any questions, that we had, and was able to address all of our concerns. I am sorry that you felt like you didnt have the same experience with Trinity that we had, but from what I have seen they appear to be very professional. I would recommend them to others.

Melody, I sympathize with you. I used Trinity Custom Homes from their office in Cartersville, Georgia. Everything checked out good in the beginning, but went downhill once work was supposed to start. Here was an abbreviated list of my gripes with this company; - Lack of contractor oversight. - Lack of contractor professionalism - contractor's kid pee'd in the corner of my living room; garbage was continually left to blow all over my and my neighbors yard; insullation contract worker made threats when I asked him to turn his blaringly loud death-metal music down ( after he threatened me, i went back to the car and got my sidearm, then I fired him on the spot as I called his boss and the site superintendent!); paint contractor's sloppy work had to be redone; second paint contractor took a dump in the toilet before the water was even turned on; second paint contractor also smoked in the house; septic contractor screwed up, running the field lines over the rear property line by 60', then tried to bill me for more than he agreed to do the job for. - House failed inspections for small items that should not have been missed; I gave TCH copy of county codes and building ordinances before job began. - Had to stay on the phone constantly to find out why noone was on the job doing any work. - Construction ran 143 days; on 63 of those days, there was no work done to the house. Those no-work days do not include Sundays. - Paid for small upgrades, like burnished metal door hinges and fixtures, and did not get them. Was told later that TCM was not able to obtain those items. - Dishwasher is a P.O.S - has never run right. - Still have a hole in my vinyl siding from where the pressure outlet for the water heater had to be re-routed after it failed the final inspection; I was told this would later be fixed. - Still have broken concrete blocks at the foundation sub-floor entrance where the contractors installed the water heater; I was told this would later be fixed. - Still have broken screen on front window; I was told this would later be fixed. As far as the bank goes, we didn't have any problems there. We did not follow their suggestions on that and went for our own financing. Our bank was very stringent about making payments, and they sent an agent out to look at progress every time that a draft request was made. They also gave me a paper to fill out as construction progress went along, so that I could keep track of where everything was going. The change orders are a bunch of crap. I cheesed off the site superintendent by moving some of the electrical outlets myself after I complained that the electrician has put them to close to the windows (so close that you could not even frame the windows in). He said I couldn't do that and that I would have to file a change order and pay for it. I told him try and stop me. As far as i'm concerned, all of the problems that I had with my house during it's construction can be blamed on one person - the site superintendent. If there is noone onsite to supervise the job, then you have stupid things like this to happen. There has to be oversight! I would not recommend TCH to anyone who is building a new home unless you are just really trying to go on the cheap. If you do hire these people, then hire a lawyer ahead of time and let them know that you have one before you even sign the contract. Also, let them know you will be onsite and calling them every day! Finally, i'm not trying to plug my own website, but I put into detail some of the above problems and my overall unhappiness with TCH at www.smmrailphotos.net/homebuilder I think you would be amazed at how similar our stories are.

I am glad that Trinity did a good job for someone because they didn't do an even decent job for me. I have talked to so many people since they finished our house... or should I say since they left our house... (they never really FINISHED it). We had a rough time with the superintendent that we had. I talked to others that had a good experience in another state. I guess we were just given a bad supervisor. I felt like he really didn't even want to build our house. It was obvious that we weren't priority. I guess the point is, if you have a little bitty red headed pip squeek named Michael you better run for your life or you better get the jar of valoline ready cause it is going to hurt. Just trying to save the next person from going through what I went through. It was rough! Our drive way was so bad that we finally just walked away from our house. It wasn't worth the paper it was drawn on anyway.

I had a completely opposite experience with Trinity. There were problems along the way, but they were solved timely and to my satisfaction.
