I received a call from my sister crying that they had lost their home. In the last several months I had spoken to her and she was excited that she had found a company that was going to help them save their situation. I had not spoken to her again about this topic as I thought it had been put behind them. This company took their money and did nothing for them. They could not even get a return call, the runaround was something else until they eventually lost their home. My sister's family is now renting an apartment because this company Truman Foreclosure assistance didn't do anything to help them. I guess they named their company correctly.

Truman Foreclosure assistance should be categorized in the same section that people that want a suicide looked to find Dr. Kevorkian the suicide doctor. If you want to loose your home and pay to do it, this is the company you need to call. If you want to save your home steer clear of this company. My sister would never post anything as she is a great believer but when I decided to come to this web site and I found the other articles I got sick to my stomach and I felt I needed to post this so other people hopefully will read this and not do business with this company. I am going to be speaking to an attorney to see if anything can be done to this company. Don't believe anything they tell you. Go some where else to get help.

Michael, I am very sorry to hear that you sister has lost her house. As I cannot ascertain her name from you letter, I can neither confirm nor deny the accuracy of your statements. What I can say is that we offer a money back guarantee in the event that we are unable to prevent a client from loosing their home to foreclosure. I would very much like to hear from her so that we can initiate the refund process. The sad fact of the matter is that no modification company can guarantee that 100% of it's clients will get a fantastic modification. Every situation is different and fraught with danger, because at the end of the day, we're convincing a bank that someone who has defaulted on their mortgage deserves to get a lower payment. We do have an exceptionally high rate of success; well over 90%. Unfortunately, there are just some situations that cannot be saved, and to guarantee a 100% rate of success would be foolish. Everyone knows that some situations just cannot be saved, that's why we offer a refund to our clients in the event that we are unable to help. Lets also not forget that the singular reason that someone would fall into foreclosure is that they are unable to maintain their mortgage payments. Now this may be the result of any number of factors and the economy that we've been dealt these past 18 months has certainly not helped, but the fact remains that if those payments were made there would have been no foreclosure. My company acts as an advocate for those who have fallen on hard times.
