Ultimate Warranty promised to pay, but I ended up paying instead after paying off the warranty! Houston Texas
My car had a fuel pump break. After sitting on hold for about 45 minutes, I was able to talk to a person about it at Ultimate Warranty (of course during their business hours only). I followed the rules of the warranty to first have an estimate done and then to have my service company call Ultimate Warranty, giving them a break down of the estimate.
After my service company was on the phone for at least 2 hours, they were able to talk to a person, breaking down the estimate to fix the fuel pump. Ultimate Warranty agreed to pay more than half of the repairs. Ultimate Warranty asked for a signed copy of the estimate, by me, to fax into them, which was done.
After a confirmation code was given to do the repairs, my service company was unable to get any money from Ultimate Warranty. They refaxed the signed estimate another two times, called many times with no luck of talking to anyone, and all voice mailboxes were full, so no messages could be left most of the time. Those few times when messages were left, no one from Ultimate Warranty called my service company back, as of to date since October 8, 2007.
Due to the service company trying as hard as they could and still not getting paid, I paid the rest of the bill. They do great work and I want to keep a good relationship with them. I would like to at least get reimbursed from Ultimate Warranty the amount owed, and if not, may consider taking further steps.
