02/2007 I went into the Carhop located at 6529 Penn Ave S Minneapolis, MN 55423 with $1,100.00 and no DL. I was working with a Salesman by the name of Kyle and after maybe 3 hours or so I drove of the lot with a 1999 Oldsmobile that was in mint conditon.

After one week I was driving my car started smoking and I was on the other side of town. I had to call a towing company to come get me because UAC and Carhop was closed on that Sunday. That following day I called UAC and advised them of what happen I was told by multiple people that my transmission line had broken. Carhop told me that my Trans, Motor, and some other major parts will be covered for 18 months or @ 18,000 miles which ever comes first. I had to spend almost $200.00 to replace the line (mind you that the line is part of the trans so why didn't UAC cover it?).

About a month or less later I was driving thank God that I was not on the express way my brake line just broke I was unable to stop my car I called UAc ad guess what they could not cover it so that was another $200.00 gone. People kept telling me not to deal with Carhop because they are a low down company but I said that is only for those people that don't like to pay their bills let's be honest we all hate paying bills but we do it anyway because it's life.

10/2007 I moved from Minnesota to Iowa and fell behind in my payments and yes they called and called and called despite my situation they could careless. So income tax time rolls around 01/24/08 I filed my taxes I called UAC to get my total amout that was due I was told that my account was $800.00 past due I told the rep that I can pay 50% of the past due balance today and the remaing balance when I get the rest of my taxes he told me "that will be great this payment will definetly help you" I told him that I will get my taxes in a week or so.

On 02/09/08 about 8:30 I knock at my door it's the repo man! and he was telling me to pay with certified funds only and I couldn't pay him so I get UAC on the phone and I spoke with I think her name was Tammy she had me get online process my payment and during that time she spoke with the repo man and guess what he had to still take my car and the cost for him taking my car was $300.00. So the very next morning I got to Carhop and told UAC that I only had $150.00 of the repo fee they gave me my car and made arrangements for the remaing balance to be due when I have to make my next payment. Come time my next payment I didn't have the repo fee but I did have the note amount that was due. Reena could not extend the repo until 3/20/08 so my dad had agreed to take over my notes unitl I got back to work.

03/06/08 I went into Carhop with $125.00 of the remaining repo fee and a rep by the name of Toya told me that she can hold off until the following Wednesday for the remaining $25.00 that made my day go a lot easier. Until I got a call from Reena again in regards to the $25.00 she told me that they will continue collection efforts on my account if I could not make the $25.00 payment by the EOB 03/07/08. She told me that my account was up for review and she could not verify if they will be repoing my car again! So I asked her how can you be a manager and is not familiar of what is going on? I also told her that I have worked first, second, and third party collectons and when someone calls me to say they have over 90% of the amount that is due I cut them some slack and your company presents themselves as some professional crack heads.

I am almost finish paying for this car I will be through by the end of the year after they stuck me with 56 bi weekly payments of $139.11 I think they seen how much money I have put into this car mind you I haven't really need repairs but they think they are slick I called my attorney general you might wanna do the same make sure you file a complaint. I normally make my payments online so I have records of almost all my transactions.

Also just a little F.Y.I they don't note the accounts like the converstation that you had with them they put what they want to. If you have done any collections those notes are legal documents and they are not to be tampered with. They say their calls are monitored and recorded I can't wait until they are in the wrong so my lawyer can get copies of those tapes. UAC is something else for real!!!

UAC hires thugs for both collections and Repo. They called my family and friends at all hours, insulting them, and their repo guy went to my wifes work when she wasn't there, DEMANDED to see her schedule and drove one of her co-workers to tears. Thugs.
