I've heard the reports on here. Let me give you an inside look at this piece of crap company from a former employee y'all. I was one of the victims of what I call a Holiday Helper (one of them people who rides along with the drivers during the holidays dropping off and picking up packages) over hire. And I'm still waiting on my pay check. They never gave me hours and their excuse is well our brain dead HR guy who hired u never got us the proper paper work. Again with bs with paper work. You see how this works.

One big reason your package drop offs aren't done until the afternoon is these guys are only in it for the money and they don't really care what is in the package etc. They only care about the money and the package pick ups where the shipper is paying UPS aka Crap on wheels aka enter explicits here company and then you or me are stuck till when ever waiting on packages to be delivered to us in the after noon some time.

I've never gotten a damaged package in the snail mail or from Fed EX and Fed ex does get it there with in 24 hours. I've been ripped off also by UPS doing that next day air thing on a cd that I actually got two full weeks latter. Puhlease UPS just give it up, go bank rupt shut down and let Fed EX and the U.S. Mail take over yeesh. Some one needs to go to congress on this one these guys aka crap on wheels suck.

Another thing it really pisses me off when the HR is supposed to be a pro and he's out in the hall way on the phone with his co workers using every curse word known to man especially with women in the room in ear shot and a few hotel employees as well and probably women and children. I'm a man here but yeesh even I found his attitude and foul mouth offensive. Steve is his name and his exact phone number is 509-921-2002 call him up and b*tch him out as well. This needs to go to the corporate execs here. UPS enough is enough. Also some one alert CBS, ABC, Fox and NBC on this the last thing UPS wants is negative national media attention.

Jumpers are hourly hence you stated that you didn't get hours so you would not be paid for time you don't work. Sorry to burst that bubble also there is a lot of paperwork you have to fill out and if it is not completed properly or you somehow fail a criminal background check you don't get hours. Also the job you applied for is based on demand you may go in and do everything then they don't need you. Shipping is all prediction based at peak season. It's cheaper for them to pay to run everything and over hire people than it is to pay OT to drivers or to pay grievances. So in reality UPS did nothing wrong but say you got the job and then fail to communicate about hours or clerical errors. The rest are false demands that would get thrown out by judges and labor boards.

So obviously you are not a professional by your own definition...

....you write "Another thing it really pisses me off when the HR is supposed to be a pro and he's out in the hall way on the phone with his co workers using every curse word known to man." So cursing in public is indicative of non-professionals? Yet you use a curse word to make you point? As the previous poster said, look in your own backyard for solving the problem before you go any further....

I take pride in the company I have worked for for the past twenty nine years and I am certainly happy that you were a temporary employee of UPS. We really don't need anymore bad empoyees and it appears that you fit that category well. All that trash you talked about the HR guy and publishing his phone number may bring you some kind of anger release issue that you have, but look at the implied language you were spouting off with! Try cleaning up your backyard before you trash talk UPS and it's many good employees. Do us a favour, go work for the Post Office or Fed-ex. It will only improve our business.
