USA Cars, Ron White, Sold Unsafe car and will not back the warrantee given. Leesburg Florida
I purchased a car from USA Cars in Leesburg Florida on 6/23/08 for $13,500 cash. I was told by the lady working there by the name of Daphne that I had a 50/50-30 day warrantee on it as with all of their cars it was standard.
On 6/29/08 it broke down in Kentucky on a Sunday. It just died at 65 MPH. I had it towed 60 miles to the nearest dealership. On Monday they called and said the car needed $1,645.00 worth of repair.That included a front wheel bearing hub that was $645.00. I went there to see this first hand. The wheel could be moved one inch in either direction in or out from the bottom. They said the car was dangerous to drive as the wheel could fall off. The total for the tow and repair and hotel in a strange city was $2,000. I paid it and left.
On my return I called USA Cars and she said she would talk to her husband but she would give me a free key. She did not call back. I called her again one week later and she said "Oh let me call you back," which she did not do.
Today, three days later, a man by the name of Ron White called me and started swearing at me when I answered the phone. He called me a F***n B****d, a ***k S**ker, a Scam Artist and an A**hole all before I could say a word. This old drunk or drug addict is dangerous in my opinion as he is a loose cannon. When I asked him how he could get away with talking to his customers this way he threatened me and hung up on me.
One would have to conclude this is the way they back their warrantee. I only asked for 25% or $500.00 not the $1,000 that I was assured I had of coverage.
Do NOT do business with this dealership as they are dishonest and really bad news.The owner is nothing but an old Gutter Rat!
