I was so excited to hear I FINALLY got approved for a loan afterstriking out with several other companies. A woman named Gloria Greenwood with a charming accent called me to let me know my prayers were answered.

They she sent me the loan docs in an email. They didn't

look overly official to me and it had all that mumbo jumbo in it that everyone is talking about - the so called "catch".

You need to buy "insurance" up front to secure the loan.

I believe they "only" asked me for $500.00 - less than 1/2 the amount I see some other rip off respondents had to pay - maybe they are getting less brazen?

Still I have been so desparate for a loan I nearly took them up on it. Something told me to recheck their website to make sure they are legit and "Google" pulled up all these complaints on Vancouver Trust!

Thanks to all for the warning. They will not be getting my money. Like the other victims though, I am afraid now that they have my particulars (social security # and mother's maiden name). Should I be afraid of identity theft???

I hope someone sues the crap out of them. Preying on people in desperate situations already - plain disgusting.

Some people suck so bad.

OK - I found a couple of other loan companies that have similar advertising as Vancouver Trust - namely they will give a loan to almost anyone, even someone with bad credit, without collateral or a co-signer. I didn't fill out the applications because they look identical to the Vancouver Trust application. I am not listing the websites because I have no real proof they are fraudulent so I don't wish to make public statements to that effect- I would suggest however if you are applying for another loan that you compare the application to the one on vancouvertrust.com. If it looks identical - don't fill it out. Ask questions. Approach everything with a healthy degree of suspicion. If you have any doubts - cut & RUN. It amazes me how many scams are out there. As humiliating as it is to ask my sister to cosign a loan - that is the route I am going to take with a REPUTABLE bank. In the long run it's less humiliating than being ripped off.
