Vero Sports and Imports---- Lou Lepage Total rip off--sold me a boat Florida
I bought a 1995 Regal cabin cruiser on e-bay in 2010 for $7500. I had it shipped to Great Falls where I picked it up and took it to Alberta. Lou Lepage said the tires were not good for a long trip so he would put 4 new ones on for $200 which I added to the price. Halfway throught the trip the hauler phoned me and said he had to buy 2 new tires as 2 blew. When he arrived at Great Falls I paid him $300 for the 2 new tires.
Lou Lepage had said he didn't have time to put 4 new tires on as my transport provider showed up early so he threw 2 new tires and rims in the boat. It is a 4 wheel trailer and there were only 5 rims--all the same when the boat arrived so obviously he did not put in 2 new tires and rims.
When I got the boat home the cloth interior was rotten and molded. His pictures showed a good interior and he said it was good. I paide $2000 to have a new interior maid.
Someone had painted the bottom of the boat but just did it on the trailer so where the bunks were there was no paint.
There was water in the engine oil. I drained it and changed the oil twice. It appears to be running OK but Lou Lepage said he had a mechanic check out the boat and test run it for 2 hours. I found the oil in the water in 1 minute.. a qualified mechanic would have never let that go.
The head was not functional and 2 of the hatch windows were broken which was obvious with any kind of cursory inspection. None of thiis was mentioned. When I asked for money for tires and compensation for the damages Lou Lepage said there was nothing wrong but he would send me $200 for the money I paid for tires. He never did. Eventually I could not get him on the phone.
I am surprised he is still in business if he is.
