I was contacted on June 9th by a gentleman named Douglas stating that he was with VFC Direct, a company working for Visa and that process credit card app's. He states that I had applied for an unsecured Visa on 03/22/10 and the agent processing my account had put in $25,000 instead of $2500. Due to this error, they were obligated to the FDIC and Federal Trade Commission to make the correction to my credit report, he said my credit score would go up by 20 points, if I checked on Monday. He talked to me for over an hour, wouldnt let me off the phone until he had told me he had a wife, twins, had went to Morehouse and was going to classes online. I told him I'd think about it and he proceeded to call me back 6 times and left a message threatening me stating, "I clld you several times regarding the processing of your insurance fee for your credit card, I'm not a salesperson, I'm not a telemarketer. You made a federal recording, and we will adhere to that recording as far as cancelling this will be used to take out money out of your verified IRS funds. you will not be able to reapply for a visa or mastercard for 36 months.

I don't know why you don't want to call me because all you had to do was say no. Therefore you will have a cancellation of $927.84. The recording cuts off before he can leave any complaint informaiton for me to write down. He gave me a pin number, a credit card activation number to call a release number and a temporary pin #. I had time to thnk abt it once again and decided that I didnt want to do it. He started screaming at me tht I was taking food out of his families mouths. I hung up, he then proceeded to call back another 6 times. Finally after being harassed I told him I would agree to the terms and conditions but I why couldnt he charge this insurance fee to the credit card, if it was money that I was getting back in 60 days? He then started dealing down. I advised that I wld pay $100 because that is what one of the other cc's I have did as well but I have worked w/ tht company for over 15 years. He gave me the name of Linda Ragnotti, to wire some money to. He said that I would be receiveing a call from the quality assurance dept 30 minutes after I activated my card, I asked him for the number and said for me to call him back. I did that and have yet to receive a crdt card, but his number is still working, which is 321-235-5300. Everytime I call him, he has gone from the urban professional to a ghetto criminal, cursing, yelling and name calling. I have police reports in Orlando as well as my home state. I am also putting a fraud alert on my credit reports.
