Vegas is a wide open kinda place where law enforcement is not exactly encouraged or appreciated except they look real good on "Cops." You might inadvertently find something that you shouldn't find and then you might end up in the desert with a few extra holes in you... Working as a private security guard after you have been in REAL law enforcement is like being DEAD while you are still alive.. NONE of the respect and ALL of the abuse. No one respects you -- the marginally legal clients that you are supposed to "protect" at times, the marginally legal punks who own the private security contracting companies who skim your check every chance they get, go out of their way to think of new and creative ways to screw you over and their clients over... I am used to having people watch my back and when my employers disrespect at me and set me up for failure and possibly a shooting -- well it's time to go. There are all kinds of jobs here in Texas for REAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. Women get discriminated against still but a guy, even though he is semi-retired, can almost always go to work for a county law enforcement agency here. STOP WASTING YOUR TIME IN VEGAS AND GO SOMEWHERE YOU CAN USE YOUR TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. I also hope you read the various entries on Wackenhut and Securitas and all of the other private security guard contractors. WACKENHUT DID YOU A BIG FAVOR BY NOT HIRING YOU! They either delete all of your personnel records well before the ten year expiration period or they lie about your service and give you FAKE JOB REFERENCES FROM HELL! Read and learn about how these people REALLY work in The Rip Off Report and then get YOURSELF BACK INTO REAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AS FAST AS YOU CAN WHERE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE A LIVING, BE APPRECIATED AND TREATED LIKE A HUMAN BEING BECAUSE IT WON'T HAPPEN AT WACKENHUT --A DANISH OWNED COMPANY, NOT EVEN AMERICAN OWNED ANYMORE.
