Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
In October I ordered a pair of the support insoles for my wife and paid for them. Yesterday, Nov 24, 2008 they TOOK another $44.85 from my Visa account. I sent them emails and called customer service and am waiting to see what will be done but the fact that they did it at all should be against the law and probably is.

I am disabled and seem to be an easy target for companies that like to rip people off. Living on a very fixed income is not easy to begin with but when a company sneaks in obscure items in their shipping then steals from you it becomes impossible. I will be filing reports with the US Attorney General as well as my States Attorney General if the money is not replaced in my account.

I am tired of being ripped off by uncaring companies that apparently will do anything to get their money and Walkfit seems to fall into this catagory. Living with a closed head injury is a daily fight just to survive and some companies don't seem to care about anything except money. It is time to put a stop to these places that prey upon those of us who can't fight back.

I am grateful to Ripoff Report for giving us a voice and an avenue to reach out and hopefully hit these places where it will hurt their finances. If enough people read these reports and stop doing business with them, they will have to clean up their act and treat people right or go out of business.

Walkfit's Rip Off is Apparently Complete since they didn't do what they said on the phone

#2Author of original report

After I was ripped off for $44.85 I of course sent several emails (one of them is enclosed with this update) stating what had happened and what I was going to do if the situation was not rectified. I also made a call to the 800 number they give and unloaded the pent up frustration of being Ripped Off on him. The representative I got was actually a nice guy who was apparently caught in the middle between an irate customer and a rip off boss. I very seldom ever use a phone because I live with a closed Head Injury and most of the time cannot talk "normally." It takes me quite a while to get out what I want and/or need to say but this time I was able to convey my message and I will admit, though I was striving very hard to keep myself in check I was yelling at him. His calm voice and reassuring tone soon calmed me down and he wasn't pushing for information like most of the people you get do so I was finally able to tell him what happened and what was going to happen. He said that he canceled the order and any future orders. I have checked my account repeatedly and again this morning and discovered that the $44.85 was moved from 'Pending' to "Posted"! That means my money is now Officially STOLEN. Being disabled and living on a very fixed income, that money was set aside for our Thanksgiving Feast but thanks to Walkfit things were leaner this year and from all appearances Walkfit does not CARE at all. I wonder if they care about ANYTHING except making Money any way they can? I have to assume they don't care since the representative had access to my account and said he canceled the order which means he could have placed a call and/or a message through their billing to stop them from STEALING my money which would have released it from Pending and back in my account. I will NEVER do business with Walkfit EVER AGAIN and I hope no one else gets Ripped Off like I was. The best way to insure you don't get ripped off is to Not to do business with them. _________________________________ Here is the email I received from Walkfit about why they STOLE my Money: Dear Customer, Thank you for your email. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you in regards to Joint Support Formula. We would be glad to explain this to you that when you placed the order for the Walk fit, a trial offer of Joint Support Formula was offered, and your Walk fit and trial offer arrived with a letter advising that unless we received a call to cancel, you would continue getting future orders. However we have canceled the continuity on your order. You will not be receiving any further shipment of joint support formula. If you have any further questions please feel free to call customer service at 1-800-790-6066. Our working hours are from 7:00am - 9:00pm Monday through Friday and 7:00am to 3:00pm Saturday, Pacific Standard Time. Thank you, CSR Andy _______________________________ You will notice the part about the (Joint Support Formula) but when I ordered the shoe things for my Wife I specifically stated NOT to send any Joint Support Formula because my wife can't use it. Our Doctor has made it clear that any of the (NON REAL) medications interfere with our REAL medications and we made it clear NOT TO SEND any. They Sent it anyway, why? It is clear that if they didn't send it they wouldn't be able to include their sneaky letter giving them the customers (permission?) to send more of the crap month after month after month. I suppose there is the possibility that the order was already shipped because he did mention to return it if it came, to Refuse the Shipment and there would not be any shipping charged. So, giving them the benefit of doubt I will hold back full judgment until the order arrives (if it does) and if the money is either returned to my account or a check is sent for the full amount. That does NOT excuse what Walkfit did to my family by stealing the money I had set back in the debit card account for our Thanksgiving day celebration. It has taken me almost 8 hours to write this because it is so hard to get the words I want and need to go where I need them to be. It is so simple for most people, in fact I can remember what it was like for me before the industrial accident when the 8 foot steel bar took away my ability to think and to even talk for the next 4 years and beyond. I still suffer from this and when I am treated so cruelly by a company that is seemingly so uncaring I am sickened by their advertisements in which they appear supposedly caring. If I get my money back I will believe they care. However I will always wonder whether they care about fixing what they did to me or if they care more about their reputation which is in my eyes forever tarnished. If they do not return the money, I will be returning here and filing one more report to let everyone know my suspicions are true and they are most certainly out to scam and steal. I will also be reporting them to the United States Attorney Generals Office and the Michigan Attorney General. I am so tired of being taken advantage of I may make it my life's mission to put them out of business by any and all means necessary; legally of course or at least as legal as they are. If they do return the money I will not have to file another report here but certainly hope people watch them closely and make sure to keep in mind that someone in the Walkfit Company is apparently out to steal everything they can from anyone they can. Once again I am grateful to Ripoff Report for giving someone like me a voice to be able to make others aware of the trouble I have been put through so hopefully they can avoid the same trap.

Call your credit card company, and tell them that you dispute the charge. You won't be responsible for it while they investigate.
