Why didn't you contact your local consumer affairs office if you had a valid complaint against Walmart?

NO store should EVER accept a return without a receipt! Thats just common sense. There are scores of shoplifters costing the BUYING public tens of thousand dollars, if not more. This, unfortunately, is a way of life for some..errrrmake that many. Steal an item (shoplift), return it, get a refund if not a store credit. Dont need more ___________(fill in unneeded stolen item), then get groceries.
.
Boo h*o to all who are upset with this common sense policy. Anyone with a functioning brain can understand the logic behind this action taken by retailers.

NO RECEIPT, NO RETURN!! Got that everyone?? If you don't have the receipt and/or it's been more than 90 days, you are SOL! That stands for 's**t out of luck' for all you idiots out there. No money back, no store credit, nothing! Talking to a manager won't make any difference. If we have to, we'll call a manager to ask you to leave, and if you refuse to do so, you will be escorted out by the police. Other stores are doing the same thing so we'll just laugh when you say you'll never shop here again.

If the case has been closed, the OP should have come back and update the status to close the report. If the OP had update the report, this old report would have not come back alive again.
In conclusion, you must come back to close the report whenever your case is over. If not, you should expect that there may be something like this happened to your case.

Seriously not only are you trolling me your necroing a complaint that's been taken care off weeks ago.....
P.S News flash I won, not only did I get my store credit but I was also provided extra for the trouble that I was caused.
- Beyond having no idea what "necroing a complaint" is. If anyone believes that not only was this taken care of "weeks" ago(when it has only been just over a couple of weeks since he wrote it), AND he got extra money back. Well I think there might be a nice bridge for sale in San Francisco.
Most likely since the OP seems to know about their "longstanding" return policy, one could probably figure that they have had more than a few "No Receipt" returns. Where I have a feeling that this part of the policy is what gave the OP issues, "You can make up to three No Receipt returns within a 45 day period."
Of course if the OP wants to give more details as to their entire return history as well as answers to other pertinent questions that have been asked, I think everyone would love to hear them. Oh.and this includes any proof of his "victory" as well.

..Or..was it just a store you wanted to return it to after an online purchase? The "no receipt" return policy does not apply if you purchased bald head pharmacy medication or voodoo whatever online and then try to return it at a physical store. So if they told you to go pound it, they had every right.

The incident happened on April 6th. On April 28th you say it was corrected "weeks ago" suggesting it was fixed no later than April 14th. So why are you posting if it's been taken care of to your satisfaction? In fact you "won". You got the store credit AND extra. Wow. Good for you. Care to post proof of that so we know you're not just making it up?

Seriously not only are you trolling me your necroing a complaint that's been taken care off weeks ago. I know your trolling because you didn't bother reading the reply I posted that stated Walmart's return policy but also provided the direct link to the return policy it self. Please learn to not type s**t from your a*s, or take the time to read everything before making a fool out of your self.

A STORE THAT WON'T TAKE A RETURN WITHOUT A RECEIPT!?!?!?!? ALERT THE MEDIA!!!! CALL THE PRESIDENT!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!
Well, now that I've got that out of my system; I can't understand why people think they can return items without a receipt. Think about it. How does the store know it was even bought there? Isn't this common sense by now?

they frown on returns for that fact that it does effect inventory control, the company takes alot of the returns as losses.some of returns dont get credited from manufacturers.like holiday merch is prepaid,so when its returned, they take total loss on return.alot of shoplifting cant b recover as losses.depending on items.the stoe employees no longer get quarterly bonuses due to amount of returns, shoplifting.all that comes off bottom line.rules change all the time depending which mgr on duty.im not defending walmart at all.just trying to clarify some of their decisions made.ive seen people try to return empty steak package.tell mgr steak didnt taste good after they ate whole thing and end up getting their money back. or chicken from deli, bring back only the carcass and say it was too dry.mgmt gave them another chicken to try.Wtf to top it off,no receipt.i tried to take back a half gal of milk that was bad, with the receipt, was told oh well,to check temp in my fridge.so their policies are set to what ever they choose.

Why did the OP slam the previous response when simply indicating a good point? The responder isn't the one admitting to have the mentality which prompts one to feed the U.S. economy destroying Walmart corporation. The response also did not indicate the personality of a disorganized person losing such an oh so precious receipt. That response also emanated no signs to leave one imagining ulterior motives for the return of a product with no receipt.
The initial complaint was void of pertinent details. The previous responder could have added other similar inquiries such as: What was the condition of the box? Did it show signs of being opened? Was it the identical packaging as well as identical serial # to that which is in the store, etc. None of this information, which would prevent the return of merchandise without the receipt, was offered. Assuming any of these questions would not prevent the return of Rogaine would be like assuming losing hair is caused by being a complete jackazz which, in fact, is one possibilty for hair loss.
Though it is any business right to make or break their policy, what precisely was the reasoning that Johnny at Wally World used to refuse credit for the return? So far, more hair has fallen than reasons given.
Want a simple solution? Just repeat after me, "I don't wish to be an ignorant fool. I strongly desire to be an honorable United States citizen. I will no longer export my U.S. dollars to China via Walmart." Or don't, and feel free to make a fool of yourself while cowardly hiding behind the sanctuary of your monitor and slamming persons more decent than yourself with petty emotions that you yourself choose to create and then fail to control. Fortunately we still have these options as, no thanks to this particular OP, at the time being it is still a free country.

While I respect that you put the minimal effort into reading my complaint in order to satiate your appetite for Trolling please allow me to educate you on actual Walmart policy.
This is copy/pasted directly from their website
What's Walmart's No Receipt returns policy?
Walmart's No Receipt policy applies to items returned in a store only. You have the option of a cash refund (for purchases under $25), a Gift Card for the amount of the purchase (for purchases over $25) or an even exchange for the product. We also follow any manufacturer's warranties. You can make up to three No Receipt returns within a 45 day period.

HOW DARE THEY.
Many stores have had to change their policies due to serial returners. You may be one of the reasons.
What, again, was the Ripoff?
