In September of this year (06) I signed up for a secret shopping service and was offered a bunch of free trials. One of the offers was a 25 dollar gas card and a 25 dollar walmart gift card only for a dollar. So I of course agreed to that, they never said that with it came this membership to WC Value Plus. All of my other trial offers I canceled, but I didn't KNOW about the WC Value Plus offer.

So I recently moved to Binghamton and had every intention of closing my bank account down and opening a new one around where I'm living now. But I had to finish paying off my cell phone bill through my old account, the last check should have cleared November 1st, I had the exact amount of money in it that the check needed, $109.00.

I get a call from the phone people today and they said my check bounced and they've been having a difficult time with it, whereas all my other checks for the past six months have been fine.

So I call to check my balance over the phone and I have three charges of 19.95 taken out. Which I'm completely blown away by as I haven't used the account for anything other than paying off my phone in the past six-eight months.

So I call my bank and ask where the charges came from. And they say WC Value Plus and give me the 800 number.

So I call the 800 number and the woman asks for my last name and zip code, which I give her, and she tells me I have no account with them. And I'm like yeah, no kidding, that's my problem, I have no account with you guys yet I'm getting money taken out of my account. So she asks me for my credit card number at which point my boyfriend who was also on the phone with me says no, there's no reason to have the credit card number and we hang up.

So then we call back again half an hour later, and after being on the phone with them for well over a half hour, this person tells me that I was signed up through the secret shopper thing that I did in September and that I should have been recieving all this stuff from them. I was like well I've never receieved ANYTHING from your company and she told me that I must have just thrown it out thinking it was junk mail. I then explained to her that I haven't officially changed my address since moving, so I'm not GETTING junk mail and I open everything that I get whether it's junk mail or not. So she says "What do you want me to do?" I was like I want my money back. So she told me that three payments of $17.99 would be in one of my next two statements.

So we'll see if that happens. I just looked the company up online through google and the first 12 results that come up are complaints against them, a lot of which say they never got their money back.
