This company either is associated with, or was founded and is operated by former management of Memberworks, also known now as Vertrue. See: http://online.wsj.com/quotes/stock_charting.html?symbol=VTRU&type=djn The regulators do NOTHING. Why ? Because former Attorneys General are enticed by fabulous salary packages at this cramming company, and bring their "credibility" to the company, which is nothing but dressing up in a tuxedo, a steamy, stinky turd. The only solutions: 1- call up Vertrue, and tell them to cancel your account 2- tell them you "did not authorize" the charge 3- ask them from where they got the credit card# 4 - require from them written confirmation that the account is closed, by post 5- get the badge # of the person you're dealing with over the phone, as often they tell you they closed your account, but in reality, did nothing of the sort, in order to keep their jobs, they have to meet retention success metrics, and the fraud they do is part of how they meat the goals of the company. 6 - look for older charges in previous months, and also, on other credit cards. Once the credit comes in, cancel your cards, so they can't make a similar mistake again, in the future.
