I went to a Wells Fargo Bank to deposit a check into my ATM savings account, and much to my surprise, the teller told me my balance after my deposit was $21.00 How can this be I asked? She told me I had 4 overdrafts($132) dollars in the past month.

I use my ATM to draw money from time to time, and if the money is not there, I can't take it out.

So I was surprised when it came up that my ATM card was a check card, and every overdraft cost $33.00.I with- drew $60.00 and they charged me$33.00.

I have had this account for 8 years, and this is the first time this has ever happened. Did they change my ATM card to a ATM check card without my knowledge?I have a meeting with the branch manager next week, and I will let you know the outcome. Please post any replys.

Joe, Do yourself a favor and get your money away from Wells Fargo. They will allow you to remove money from your account that doesn't exist. I thought a tax return for $1300 had been direct-deposited into my account. Over the course of two days, I made about 10 ATM withdrawals. Too make a long story short, the tax return hadn't been deposited yet and I had withdrawn over $800 that didn't exist. So, for every withdrawal I got nailed for $33, for a grand total of $330. When I asked how I was able to take non-existent money out I was told that, "it's a 50/50 chance" that this can happen. Wells Fargo employee's and their imaginary policies are disgraceful and and should be declared criminal.
