It cost 7,700 dollards to get a 3 year old TDI volks wagen fixed. they claim do to off road diesel that i got in west virginia by mistake caused the premature failure of a fuel pump.They said the whole fuel system had to be replaced due to metal when the poorly engineer fuel pump exploded .Off road diesel is no different then on road just more sulfer and againt the law to run in a large truck.So they did not even pay for the warrenty parts.If their is any one that had this problem please let me know. RIP OF IN RICHMOND,VA.

Sure it was just an honest mistake that you used "off road" diesel in your vehicle. After all it has nothing to do with the fact that unlike "highway" diesel "off road" diesel is not taxed and therfore cheaper to use.
As for the legallity of this you better go recheck your laws. As not only is it illegal, if you are caught using it you are subject to some very heavy fines, as they start around $1000 per gallon. The fuel is dyed and easily detectible by anyone doing an inspection, which is how they knew you used it. Also in many areas a mechanic is required by law to report it. So you better hope that they did not report it, or if they did you can come up with a very good story.
Since the fuel is not meant to be used in your vehicle, and I would bet that it is specifically called out in the warranty. They are under zero obligation to cover any damage under warranty. Of course if you still have a problem with that, you are more than free to go sue them. I am sure the judge will be quite interested to hear your story on the use of "off road" diesel and how you made a "mistake".
