Bought a 5-month old kitten in good faith from Janet at Whatatrill Maine Coons.  I wanted a specific kitten but was told a week later that my luck had changed and that I could have "Wolfie".  He arrived looking good and quickly became my best friend!  I paid $1,400 for him and another $500 to ship him to me.

When I had him neutered a shortwhile later, my vet examined him that morning and couldn't find one t******e.  I suspected as much.  During the surgery, my vet needed to pull in another vet just to find the one t******e that had not descended.  Now I see why my luck had changed! He was useless as a breeder.  The surgery took over an hour for a procedure that should have taken 15 minutes.  No worries, it just cost a little more.

One day, less than 3 months later, I was petting my beloved kitty and I felt a lump on his side.  He cried when I touched it.  I took him to the emergency vet that same night because he seemed lethargic.  X-rays showed extensive masses all over internally, one near his esophagus, two large in his abdomen, his liver was very large and this emergency vet stated that the prognosis was extremely grave.  He really recommended euthanasia as the cat was clearly very sick.  I cried as I said goodbye and he was humanely euthanized.

I notified Janet the next morning.  I got reemed out because i didn't have an autopsy done, thus "voiding any contract".  This emergency vet and my own vet stated that they would testify that the cat was sick from lymphoma, that he was less than a year old and both vets stated that he had to have had the lymphoma prior to my owning him for 5 months as evidenced by the size of the tumors.

Instead of a replacement kitty, I got grief and accusations and told that I caused him to die.  I spent nearly $2,000 on a cat that only lived just about 5 months after I picked him up at the airport.  We don't smoke and have 2 other very healthy cats.  I have researched lymphoma extensively.  We did not cause Wolfie's lymphoma.  But we did purchase a kitten in good faith from a breeder who only cares about money -hence the number of litters she produces each year - and does not stand behind what she breeds.

What a heartless response and attitude. This cat was obviously much loved and well cared for. Yet you would " never, ever" provide a replacement feline. Thank god I did not purchase my Maine coon from you. You cannot even begin to comprehend the pain and grief this person has gone through. You could at least offer a discount for another cat. Shame on you.

This kitten was born on December 11, 2010.  You took possesion of him in May 2011. And according to you he dies in January of 2012. Only you could post this almost 3.5 years after his death.

Except that the truth is that this kitten was born in December, 2012, breeder kept him until the following spring.  I purchased him in Spring, 2013 and he needed euthanasia, per Emergency Hospital Vet and consult with a second vet, in January.  I did NOT own him a year!!!!  So buyers beware, because once the check you write in good faith is cashed, you are left holding the bag.  So fully researching breeders led me to this breeder; $2,000 got me the most wonderful cat EVER for 8.5 months!  You do the math, expensive cat!!!!  And truthfully, I would never buy a cat from her again either!!!!  In fact, there are healthy kittens for adoption in every State in this Country.  $2,000 buys a whole lot of cat food and vet care!!!!

Wolfie was born on December 10, 2010 and was put to sleep on January 25th, 2012. My contract clearly states that the health guarantee is to age one year. i was not obligated to provide a replacement kitten.

Obviously this person has a major problem with the truth.  I would never ever sell or give her another kitten, nor recommend her to own another cat.
