Complaint Review: William Murtaugh - Internet

It has been recently confirmed that the report by the woman in regards to her "daughter" is in fact a HOAX. The report was made by a MALE out of Clearwater, Florida. He has admitted his hoax to several of his "fans" on a prankster website.

What this does show is how widely Ripoffreport.com and other internet "reporting" sites are being abused by internet bullies and those who spread rumors and lies for the sheer fun of it.

A majority of the complaints on Ripoffreport.com are frauds. Ripoffreport makes NO effort to validate their content and the ads clearly demonstrate the TRUE intent of this complaint site.

It is a money making tool for lawyers and reputation restoration companies. Ever since the complaints about me surfaced, I have been flooded by SPAMS from reputation restoration sites offering their expensive services in order to "clear my reputation."

Ripoffreport is itself a Ripoff.

This rip off report is slander. None of what was written here occured. I have lost everything I own due to the damage this has done to my ability to earn a living. I am about the loose my home to forclosure.

I need to have my name cleared and the person or persons responsible for this report to answer for what they have done.

Someone called the Lake County Sheriff's Department because she thought I had accused her of being the one who wrote this report. She informed the LCSO that I had written a letter to the father of an open missing child case and informed him that I knew where the child was buried (presuming he was dead, in other words) and that I would be contacting him as to when he would be returned.

This incident ALSO DID NOT OCCUR. When I issued a public appeal for this woman to explain why she made those accusations in her calls to the police. Rather than answer, she claims to have consulted and attorney and refuses to answer my question.

 She and other  people in a group she is with have been flinging these wild accusations out there for almost two years. Repeated requests to law enforcement to put a stop to this have gone unanswered.

I have nowhere to turn and need help.

These people cannot be allowed to get away with these kinds of lies. If they can do this to me they can do this to someone else.

The last comment, of course, did not address anything in my rebuttal. You now accuse me of having the ability to control the policy and operation of Ripoffreport? It would be nice if the operators of this service would be reading this and address this individual's charge.

I have no idea how they choose when or how to post any comments on this service.  Also as I have said, I have filed a formal complaint with the Lake County Florida Sheriff's department charging whoever initated the original complaint with fraud and filing false information with a law enforcement agency.

Since this person has yet to supply the information I have asked for, I can only draw the conclusion that this is cyber bullying at it's worst. The individual does not care how this affects my daily life or financial status.

It is unforutnate that people cannot find better things to do with their lives other than destroying people for no other reason that they are capable of doing so.

How is it, Mr Murtaugh's rebuttal was posted so quickly after the initial report is made when everyone else has to wait hours for their comments to be placed on the reports? I am beginning to think Mr. Murtaugh made the original report then filed a hoax comment shortly there after. We all know he uses two different internet service providers. One being AOL and the other being Embarq. Each will show a different location. This is just a ploy in his game of poor me. Nice try there Skippy but it didn't work.

This website is to report consumer complaints.

Seems a group of haters have decided to use this space now to spew their lies.

This last report from 'a mother' is just more garbage to inflict pain upon others.

I hope soon this page will return to its' original intent.

IT is unfortunate that there those out there who will take advantage of this service, meant to be used by those with LEGITIMATE complaints. It instead, has become the domain of a new wave of internet bullies, this time in the form of so called ADULTS who feel it necessary to out and out LIE about someone they have never met.

The incident described NEVER OCCURRED. If the person is claiming this incident occurred then I would like the case number.

This person is part of the same group that has accused me of just about every crime against children with the exception, I think of the kidnapping of the Lindbergh baby.

I have been accused of knowing where Trenton Duckett, a still missing child from Lake county,  is located, even to the extent they accuse me of burying him in my back yard.

I was accused of the same crime regarding Caylee Anthony until that case was resolved and I am also accused of having something to do with the case of Haleigh Cummings and another young girl in Orange Park, Florida.

The weakness of the Ripoffreport website is that they have made any sort if civil litigation or remedy a prolonged process as well as an expensive one.

Anyone can say anything about anybody and Ripoff holds itself harmless with the usual " they said it so blame them" legal waiver.

This website is nothing more than a toy for immature adult cyber bullies to use to destroy the reputation and character of innocent civilians without being held accountable.

If something is not done about the abuses that are widespread on this site, then it is time for the government to step in with appropriate legislation to ensure RESPONSIBLE use of this website and those like it.
