She is a woman who TRULY BELIEVES in helping the PEOPLE, wouldn't you agree??? I will do all I can to have Oprah EXPOSE this website to all her viewers, all over the WORLD, so the PEOPLE can express their concerns with TOYOTA'S LACK of RESPONSIBILITY to all of the problems. Especially these: 'Google' this-BALTIMORE SETTLEMENT CALIFORNIA TOYOTA, and read the Lawsuit that Mr. & Mrs. Baltimore (an African American family) filed against TOYOTA CORPORATION because TOYOTA was TARGETTING African Americans & Hispanics and charging them higher interest rates due to their SKIN COLOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oprah Winfrey can certainly understand these people's PAIN, wouldn't you agree??? Barack Obama could certainly understand these people's PAIN too, correct?? And since Oprah & Barack Obama want to HELP the PEOPLE, they will obviously do something about it, right? And since, quote: 'EXPOSURE is a corporation's WORST fear.' - Harvard Business Professor, Oprah can help to EXPOSE TOYOTA and their way of DISCRIMINATING against ALL PEOPLE of ALL RACES & religious backgrounds, correct?? WE ALL LOVE OPRAH, because OPRAH IS #1.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OPRAH POEM We love Oprah She's the best! Lives in Chicago But coming out west! 'Now I understand your chronic pain, Friendly Help! You suffer the pain of being illogical!' Space filler, but dramatic. 'This is proven by YOUR brilliant 'Andromeda Post'':' Thank you very much. Too bad it was not you. 'All your advice after the fact does not help her. What is it about the sentence above that You have been unable to comprehend yet?'' 'Well gosh gee-whiz Big-A! NOTE THIS:' Irrelevant. You sound like 'Gomer Pyle'. Remember Him? Brilliant! You're Funny! 'ALL advice given on RoR is AFTER the FACT! [Too bad Andromeda cannot think through his/her posts before hitting the 'SUBMIT'' button, isn't it?' Do you really think anyone is ever going to believe that? But another nice try. 'Thanx for taking the time to elaborate, J G Shrugged:' Yes, I already thanked him. You misspelled Thanks. ''And then, you refused to allow them to do the dye test because you were 100% sure that it wasn't burning oil.'' Interesting, but still Before the fact. You left off the relevant part of the post. How could you do that, or why in the world would you do that? Everybody knows why! 'I am sure that the mechanics where OP worked would have ALSO suggested these SAME diagnostics. IF OP had patronized the dealership WHERE SHE WORKED, and about whom SHE HAS/HAD A POSITIVE ATTITUDE, I am sure she would have followed this recommendation when it was made by the mechanics where OP worked and the failure would have been avoided.' Space filler. Irrelevant. She chose the Toyota dealer. Now JG - please be kind enough to explain S.L.O.W.L.Y to Friendly Help what 'Now' means and how it applies to this post and in general. Would you? Please? Explain what? The part you purposely chose to leave off? He can certainly do that. 'Maybe Andromeda is Karl2? The Shadow Knows!' Space filler and speculation. You have got to get off the bit about her choosing the 'wrong dealer' That is your Achilles heel here. People can attack you every post here if you don't! But then you still don't know why.

Why didn't you check the oil for over 1k miles after the oil change when you already admitted that something wasn't right?? And then, you refused to allow them to do the dye test because you were 100% sure that it wasn't burning oil. Well, if you have to take them to court, you better be able to consider yourself to be a professional mechanic with more training and certifications than the dealer's staff, as your word about the 100% sure part is going to have to stand up against their word. And even in a 50/50 split the judge will probably side with the dealer because you can't prove it wasn't anything other than they didn't put oil in at that change. If was burning oil and you refused their recommended investigation, you probably voided any kind of warranty right there. Plus, doesn't the manual mention checking the oil at every fillup?

'The worst part about it, I work at a car dealership that stands by their customers 100000%. When a mistake is made, they man up and take responsiblity for it. They dont jerk the customer around and try to blame them for their mistakes. When the problem is resolved that customer leaves with a smile on their face, and im sure they are willing to come back in here because they can trust their dealership. '' So what? She chose the Toyota dealer. 'This is clear to anyone who can read that OP feels the dealership where she works is fully competent and takes care of the customer.' So what? She chose the Toyota dealer. 'And by the way, a car is a car is a car. A Ford or Buick dealer CAN service a Toyota or Honda. After all, every day I see Ford and Buick dealers SELL used Toyotas & Hondas which they will service after the sale.' So what? She chose the Toyota dealer. IT IS NOT HER FAULT YOUR FAULT OR MY FAULT SHE CHOSE THE TOYOTA DEALER. THAT WAS HER DECISION. SHE DOES NOT HAVE TO ACCOUNT FOR IT TO YOU. All your advice after the fact does not help her. What is it about the sentence above that You have been unable to comprehend yet? Stop blaming her because she decided to take her car to the Toyota dealer. You had not yet told her they were going to wreck her engine and therefore she should take her car to her own dealership. Do you finally get it yet? I doubt it, this is your second try. If You can't figure it out this time, you are on your own. Oh, by the way, you said she could take her car to any dealer, so why not the Toyota dealer? 'Are you in chronic pain, Andromeda? Friendly advice, 'The answer to your question is soooo simple, Andromedia: OP stated that she KNEW the people at dealership where she worked & felt that those people were very competent and concientious.' Sorry, You tried to simplify it for her, and didn't get it done. You neglected the order of things. Where was your head? Show me where she felt those people were very competent and conscientious on Toyota. How do you know she didn't choose to take her Toyota to a Toyota dealer, like most other people do. You don't know do you! Where was your head? 'Therefore she should have had her Toyota/Honda/Buick/Whatever serviced there.' She was not told to get service at her dealer by YOU prior to the problem, and didn't have your advice to follow. Therefore YOUR advice was not timely and is not not relevant to her problem at this point in time! Perhaps you were thinking about another post somewhere else. Where was your head? Your answer is also speculation, as the dealer she works for could have also damaged the car in spite of being 'competent and conscientious.' Where was your head? 'Oil changes are simple, inexpensive affairs that can be completed in any competent shop, and oil changes are also important considering the costly harm that improper engine maintanence can cause. I have done my own oil changes for over 40 years, and I have NEVER had an engine problem, even on engines I have put more than 350,000 miles on.' Completely irrelevant hot air just to fill up space and say something. It has no place on this thread. It makes no difference to her problem now. Where was your head? In short, none of your posts are relevant to the Authors situation now. Remember hindsight is 100%. Where was your head? By the way you misspelled so, conscientious and maintenance. I hope I have helped you re-think this through. I expected something far better from you. What happened? Are you Ill?

I highly doubt that your car ran over 1000 miles either missing 4/5's of its oil or with no oil, your engine would have been gone LONG before then. And it is possible to burn that much oil in 1000 miles, I have had many cars burn that much or more.

Friendly help, Your post is irrelevant and is of no use, it just fills up space for nothing. Why shouldn't she take her car to a Toyota dealer. How do you know it isn't a Toyota, or did I just miss that? You act like she was supposed to know that the Toyota dealer was going to wreck her engine before she took her car there. Bigcraig, Your post contains nothing useful and is partially unreadable. Why shouldn't she take her car to a Toyota dealer. How do you know it isn't a Toyota, or did I miss that? Karl, Your post is not sarcastic and contains some useful information for Monica. Congratulations! I certainly hope you two(Friendly help & Bigcraig) can do a whole lot better than this on future posts. If not, It would be much better to not say anything than to prove to everyone that you write garbage and post just to take up space. There is nothing magic about changing the oil & filter in a Toyota- or in any other car. And what ''synthetic'' oil did you get & for how much? You can take your own synth oil, like Mobil-1 at $23 for a 5-qt jug at Wally*World. Your owner's manual will tell you exactly what weight of oil to use, i.e. 5W-30, and how much. Understanding *exactly* what your car needs & when is a lot less expensive that $4000.
