Zero Plus Dialing SUPER RIP-OFF - MUST THINK PEOPLE IN ALABAMA ARE DUMB! Texas
ConsumerAffairs.Com suggested that I register my complaint with your office. On June 20th, my daughter was traveling to Oklahoma, and I asked her to call me collect when she arrived. She did so. A recorded operator came on and said "You have a collect call from ... (my daughter's voice) Do you accept the charges? If yes, press 1. I did that promptly. We chatted for 7 minutes. I received by Bell South bill, and the collect call cost more than my entire monthly telephone bill. The 7 minute collect call cost $36.63, including taxes. I have informed ZPDI that I would pay a fair charge for a collect call, but not the amount billed. I also contacted Bell South and told them the same. I am fed up with this type of abuse! If Bell South wants to cut off my phone, that is fine with me. We have cell phones. Again, I will not pay the ZPDI charge as stated. I am one consumer who is tired of being ripped off!
