Our band paid the fee to receive a written review in Indie Rock Cafe run by a Phillip E. DAoust. We received his unsolicited emails offering reviews on the site for a fee, and eventually decided to try him out.
Once we paid the fee, we heard nothing. We emailed a few times to let them know we paid, sent paypal screen-shots and eventually asked for a refund. Since our last email to Phillip, we've heard nothing, received no review, and received no refund.
Indie Rock Cafe is either a scam, scamming independent artists out of hard earned money and disappearing, or just generally not legit.
