outschool.com They steal your money! Internet
We have taken over 1,500 classes on outschool.com. I know this platform very well. They changed their refund policy recently, and it is essentially their theft policy! If you read it, it tells you exactly how they plan to steal your money, and the teacher's money. They are rolling out many new types of class types that encourage you to prepay, you only get a refund within 24 hours of signing up for the classes. So if something comes up before the class starts, the teacher is a bad fit or you can't make that time slot anylonger, whatever the reason is that you need to drop... you are just out the money, they don't pay the teachers for this either. It is clearly an illegal scheme that hasn't caught up with them yet. The customer service is a gamble and is often a complete nightmare for both the parents and the teachers. Just know that if you take classes on here, you are risking having your money stolen. I have filed complaints with the California Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission etc, the FBI etc. They all have files on outschool.com. Please contact them and file your reports, maybe someone will help us at some point?!
