In reading the news on the internet I was directed to a site that offered skin care products by Christy Brinkley. They offered a trial product of her skin cream called Skin Noir for $4.95 and f.99 for shipping when I fell for it, they also offered the Eye Noir for $5.95. I received them both but since I travel for a living I am unsure of the time to ship product. Exactly 14 calendar days after they shipped the product they charged my credit card for $85.95 and $89.95. I had looked on the internet for rating for this product and saw it was only available in the internet and was a auto-renew product. But never on the original trial offer was the true cost of the product disclosed. Nor did I see any indication I had 14 days to notify them or I would be charged this amount. They certainly did not provide a way to contact them.
After receiving my credit card bill and seeing the total charge of $187.79 I called the number on the credit card statement. The "customer service" representative was clearly use to calls because she immediately became rude and aggressive "that I had 14 days to cancel and since I did not I would be charged this amount". I made sure to cancel any future shipments and have reported this to the credit card company as what I consider fraudulent business practice. This is truly a SCAM and I wonder if Christy Brinkley is aware and benefiting from this fraudulent business practice or is she unaware customers are being deceived in her name.
