Complaint Review: 21st Century Communications/ Clarence Neely - Virginia Beach Virginia

I am a colleague of someone that also was ripped off by 21st Century Entertainment here in Virginia Beach. Supopsedly quite a few people were ripped off. I know of at least one show that was supposed to happen in April of this year at the Hampton Colliseum with Bobby Valentino as the star guest and possibly several others like Keri Hilson to be featured. An appearance of Roxi and Terrance from 106 & Park was also mentioned. Not only did the even never happen, Mr. Neely disappeared and several investors got burned. Perhaps something has already been addressed in this matter with my colleague, but appears that there are more broken promises than good ones. Some of the shows mentioned in Clarence's rebuttal don't really appeal to me. With the right connections in the area, I could put together those shows. Yes, I do know many people in the area.

Well here are the facts and they can be proven. First of all be careful what you say about people and firms on this website. There are many Class Action Law Suits out there because of the slanderous remarks that's allowed on this site. Our firm will be filing 1.6 Million Dollar Slander Law Suit ourselves because of things said on this site about us. Now let me explain. I'm a firm believer that there are always two sides to every story. If you don't stand up for yourself or your company on this site you will only hear one side. Sixty (60) percent of the information about me and our firm are false. Yes there is about 40 percent that is true. I have a question to ask you (the inquiring minds)? 1. How many Con Men or thieves do you know that re pay their victims? Answer: Hardly any. My point exactly. If I was a fraud, a con man, a thieve etc. why is it that all these people that made a report all say I paid them or I am paying them? Paying these people back should tell you something about us and our character. We don't run and hide from our responsibilities. We are paying for them, and allot of that is from the kindness of our heart not because a court ordered us to. Check the records, since you are researching. Now the part about we change our names and phone numbers, let's get that straight. Anybody ever heard of the word growing and evolving? By the Grace of God I have grown professionally and our business model has evolved so therefore we gave ourselves a new name, not a new identity. KIS Media Group evolved to 21st Century Communications. As far as Miami Seven Events (I know the name is hot)our main partner took a leave of absence because of his military obligation in Iraq so Miami Seven is in a holding pattern until he returns. Upon his arrival we are getting back in action and we will be back providing with the best of entertainment. Our phone numbers change because we changed Locations. Virginia to Atlanta. One of these reports is mainly due to hate. So stop the hating. Remember Hate kills the hater. The part about us not doing concerts that we say we are going to do (I love this one) allow me to explain. First I'd like to bring this to your attention. To this date we have put on 44 concerts and events and have made numerous donations to non profit organizations one being Second Harvest/The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia (Maryanne Scott). Why don't you call them and verify that? Our firm has put on some of the largest events in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. Let me name a few: The Missy Elliott Music and Video Convention 98 (Missy received a Key to the city of Portsmouth, Virginia her hometown), The Hampton Roads Hip Hop and R & B Music Awards Portsmouth, VA 2001 (Teddy Riley, The Neptunes, The Clipse all received Life Time Achievement Awards). The funny thing is after these events the idea caught on and now people have had and are having successful hip hop awards and the Black Music Symposium (103 Jamz) was started the year after the Missy Elliott Music Convention. How about Chris Brown, TWO SOLD OUT SHOWS...How many promoters say those words, SOLD OUT? Not many unless you doing club dates. The Hampton Roads Image Awards, Black Tie Affair. SOLD OUT..had to turn people around. Unfortunately we had to give some refunds for that. I could go on and on but let's get to the reason why the shows that were supposed to happen, didn't. Ok the first complaint you see about me/us. That was the Ovarian and Lloyd show that was scheduled to take place on May 20th 2007. We booked the Ntleos Pavilion Harbor Center, advertised both on 103 Jamz and Z104 as well as Cox TV (cable). The Ntelos holds 7,000 people, two days before the show we sold 189 tickets. Well for those of you that know concerts, that's called an L...BIG L. (Lost). So sometimes it's better to PULL a show (cancel or postponed) to save money then to put it on and lose more money. So that didn't happen, however the investors involved have already been paid back or are being paid back and according to my attorney we really didn't have to do it because it was a LOST. The next report. mmmmmm I'm personally surprised that went up there and as you can see the tempo changed on the report. One of the things I always teach the people around me is, "In order to get what you want out of life you have to help others get what they want." Those are the words of Walt Disney who by the way went bankrupt several times before actually becoming the Icon we know today. Tony Hawk, 106 and Park and all the events mentioned were true, we didn't do them. Here's why? Anybody ever heard of the company LIVE NATION? They are the largest Concert Promotions firm in the world. Unfortunately the entire Tony Hawk project was bought out. The same thing happen with us with Lil Wayne last summer which is another issue but it's not listed but is being worked out. We moved to the 106 and Park Project, which was supposed to take place at Willett Hall in Portsmouth, Virginia and once again, after advertising on 103 Jamz and Hot 91 The Beat, we sold 1 Ticket. Now the next report was pure emotion and somewhat anger and after a brief discussion with the person an apology will be made publicly on this site from the person that put that up there. I'm not mad though because I know she didn't mean it, she's was just upset because I couldn't come up with solid dates yet. This is an update of my contract with Clarence Neely and 21st Century Communications. First off I have known Clarence for over 14years and have done events with him before without incident. In February I entered into a written agreement and invested $25,000 into his 2008 schedule of events. So when some of the events did not take place I was shocked because I know Clarence is a person that can get things done. Our communication broke down and I was not trying to hear any excuses. In my post I said a few things that was indicative of my anger and not the facts. Well since my post here in October, Clarence and I have been able to speak and I am happy to announce that I have recieved back my entire investment of $25,000. Also we currently have a few shows booked for January and Feburary of 2009 that should bring a good return. So thanks to patience and Ripoff report.com I'm glad to announce a satisfactory outcome.
