DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST! Where to start?? My family ordered a 7'-8' Christmas tree from this deplorable company, 5 star (should be 0 star) Christmas trees. This was back in early November, we were advised we would get shipment and tracking information on Nov.24, 2017. That day came and went, no email. We thought, busy time of year give it some time. Well we never heard a peep out of them. We finally emailed them and DAYS later got a response stating we would not be getting a Christmas tree due to a supply issue in the Scranton, PA area and they will not be working with that local farm in the future. Wait a minute. LOCAL FARM?? We paid 50.00 for shipping from Utah?? Oh well, lesson learned. I then attempted to contact them by phone to request a refund of my money, we need it to get a tree from a LOCAL FARM. Well you can NOT speak with them over the telephone. When you finally come up with a number on the BBB website (yeah check them out there too!) You call and get a recording saying they can only be reached via email! (Pro scam move right here). So after sending yet another email and waiting...and waiting...BAM an email response stating they will credit my account at 5 star trees and give me a wreath and other garbage we don't want or need, no refund to my bank account!! Well, back to the keyboard to send another email that we want a refund and we didn't think we would trust them to do business next year. Well the response we got was, and this is quoted "We would like to offer this as a credit to your 5 star account for 2018. If you choose a refund, that would cancel these 2018 credits. Which would you prefer to have? Regards, Karen B". Understanding we were already offered credit and requested a refund this was a pitiful grasp at keeping our money. We already advised them we needed it to buy a tree. Now we have reached Dec 1, 2017 and FINALLY they emailed us stating that they issued a refund to the payment method we used. Great! Lets go get a tree! Nope. Moneys not there, well maybe we jumped the gun, give 'em a couple days...and, here we are today, no refund, no tree. There is a reason we order and pay so early. Looks like this is the first year in the history of my family we will not have a Christmas tree! I have contacted my card company and they are handling it from here. Thank You 5 star for making our season so bright! I sincerely hope you are enjoying yours as much as we'll enjoy ours. Maybe we wont have a tree, but I can sleep at night knowing I didn't scam, cheat, and steal from people. Wishing you all the karma, I mean joy you deserve this holiday season!
