I am also paying a high monthly fee for no service from Startup Essesntials. Has anyone ever successfully cancelled one of their "Non-cancellable leases?" I'd really like to know. It would help me a lot to get out of this fraudulent obligation.

I have had startupessentials since April 23, 2007 and the comments everyone made, was true for me as well. I received a lame laptop with EVERYTHING I would need to startup my business. I spent hours and hours in their path 2 training, certainly more than 15 hours they said I would be spending. Most of the information I would NEVER need. I was told I would pay 177.95 per month for 36 months and that there is NO cancellation at all. I was also told that taxes and other fees were included. I got the "Lease Agreement" yesterday (a non-business day) and it is more than the agreed upon amount. I am on path 3, where they walk you through the steps. I signed up on the page where (supposedly) startupessentials pays (included fees) for the webhosting for three years. I cannot get on to the page to start designing, so I am a bit upset. Free business cards my butt, with what I am paying at least startupessentials should pay for the 6.00 shipping. I left feedback at the end of path 2, do you know someone called me!!! out of concern to discuss my feedback. I am going to fill out my own ripoff report, so look for it. I am going to finish all the steps so I can really make an informed report. If there is a lawsuit class action I would like to examine the options. So far, I have had several questions or problems and they have helped me resolve it. It is now 4/29/07 and I have been pretty dedicated to ALL the steps, except for DBA filing and now seeing this I will wait, because that is an added expense that if this doesn't pan out, there would be a company that doesn't exist. It would be hard (I think) to file any suite if you don't know EVERYTHING, so I will continue to see if they fulfill their promise. If in the end I have a store and they help me, obviously this would have all been worth it, but as of now, I am very frustrated in how long and ardudious this process is. Take care and make wise decisons.

Dana's Information is Wrong Again. Leasebreaker.org is still in business and the web site is still up; however, the information contained in the materials they hawk is useless and if used, will probably either irreparably harm your credit history report or force you to pay a mediation/arbitration fee and a settlement to break your agreement. Also, it is highly unlikely that the FBI actually contacted you in light of the fact that they would have asked you to cooperate and record conversations with the supposed offending parties. They would have also advised you to forward to them as evidence the materials you received. Are you a disgruntled former employee?

I wouldn't recommend leasebreakers.org to anyone because they are out of business. It seems that was a company started by one of the exemployees of Startup essentials one Jermey Estes. The owners took him out to lunch and bought him off to shut down his website. What would you do when you know that two of the companies directors are convicted felons for fraud and have spent prison time and made many friends and contacts while there? I myself found this out by doing a simple google search. Also, after being contacted both by the FBI and FTC I did a litte research myself. I really think the DEA should be in on this if they infact are doing drugs while talking to customers.

Well, Leasebreakers.com is an option. You can always stop payment or change banks. Just know that the two brothers in management up there are ex cons with felonies for scamming people. I know that they are currently being invesigated by the FBI and have changed the name from USA Card services to Start Up Essentials because of all the pissed off customers. Just call in and tell Mr. Ted "Baby Hair Lip" Thompson to snort another line before he performs a T/O. Better yet, have your lawyer request a copy of the 3 STEP CORPORATE POLICY, since it pertains to whether or not anyone gets approved... Bottom line, you have been bamboozled by a bunch of criminals with a tax id number & there are as many drugs and sex triangles within this company as there are people that have been scammed by them. Hi Victor, I just signed up with Startup Essentials this week, and my husband and I spent about 2 1/2 hours on the phone with John Callesen asking questions and getting answers. We fully expected that we would be paying $139.95 for the next 4 years and $49.95 after that. He did not try to hide any of that from us. He also told us that we would have all the support we could possibly need to run a business from home. The best advice I can give you is this, call him and tell him you want to cancel your contract. His number is 866-552-8846 x8663. I'm sure he will be happy to accommodate you, because the best advertisement is a satisfied customer with a big mouth, and the worst advertisement is a DISsatisfied customer with a big mouth. Lynn Good luck to all of us!
