Here it is now...Jan. of 2010 and I STILL have NOT been paid for my services on 9/12/09. I noticed that the original 1-800 number has been disconnected and now they are using a new number on their web site. I called this number and asked to speak with the owner. I was told that the owner was not in so I asked to speak to someone in charge. I got connected to a voice-mail that said "this voice mailbox can no longer receive messages". I called back and asked the person i spoke with what the owner's name was to which he replied "Ron Daniels". I stated that was strange because the owner's name on the Better Business Bureau's web site lists the name as being "Ron Doyle". The person I was speaking to replied "I was instructed that his name is Ron Daniels". So basically, this company is not only lying to Brides,Dj's and Videographers...but they are ALSO lying to the BBB. I am filing a complaint with the NY State Attorney General's office and I am going to have the FBI brought in as well. These scam artists are perpetrating a CRIME by not paying its vendors and by taking money and NOT giving people (brides/grooms) what they pay for or nothing at all. The fact that there are complaints in several cities/states leads me to believe that these criminals are not going to stop stealing services/money from people unless they are stopped, prosecuted and put in jail. Anyone with a complaint against this so-called "business" should file a claim with their state Attorney General's office.

Today I received an e-mail from the officer that is investigating Solid Gold Sound and they are gone. The officer's e-mail said he went by their place on Tuesday and they were there, he went back today and they had cleared out. He was looking for information about where they moved to.
But for those of you that haven't gotten paid, it's worse.
When I got the e-mail from the investigating officer, I called the owner of another local DJ company that used to deal with them to share the news. He said he already knew because he was called by (forgot the name) last week and was asked if he would take over all of the gigs that they have deposits for in our state. The person from Solid Gold Sound told him that he wouldn't be able to pay him the money that he is owed but he could collect the balance from the brides as payment for the weddings that he took over. The owner refused to take the gigs because he didn't want his company tainted by Solid Gold Sound's name.
Here is the important part...he said the person that called him (whose name I don't remember) said that they were going out of business. They are not selling the company, they won't have new owners they are completely shutting down. It appears that all of us have lost our money.
I still hope they all go to jail. They are crooks.
