AAA Reliable Inc.- Owner Lee Oita Tammy Alex Fraud - Charged $7,500 for work that did not neef to be done and done illegally and needs to be removed, Internet
On December 19, 2011, in answer to an ad with a $50 coupon, I contacted the AAA Reliable, Inc. to come and clean out my gutters. When they got on the roof they quicklky came down and informed us we had a serious problem with our chimney. They claimed it was rusted and had dead animals in it (snakes and squirrels). When I ased to see the animals thet said they were incinerated and could not be removed, although on the receipt it stated that they removed them.
They claimed that if not taken care of carbon monoxide would creep into the house. I asked what it would cost to correct the problem they said $8,500.00. I said it was too much but they said since I was a senior citizen they would charge $7,500. Fear of carbon monoxide creeping into my home frightened me and I gave them the go ahead. After talking to professionals in the field they said I had been had.
I called a reputable Chimney Sweep Co, to inspect the job and they sited all kinds of violations, plus what was said on the receipt was not done. They claimed for safety the entire job needs to be removed, which will be an added expense. Nothing was itemized on the bill. I have a disputed the charge with American Express and am now in the process of reporting this to the Consumer Affairs Fraud Department. I read the ripoff report from a previous customer only she was smarter than and called in another company only to find out there was nothing wrong with her chimney.
