I was quoted $1108.00 for my move based on cubic footage and was told that if I stayed within the parameters they quoted that $1108.00 would be the price. I measured everything and was well under the cubic footage of there estimate.
They didn't show up the day I was suppose to move and when they did finally show up the following day, it was some local mover with totally different terms than what I agreed to with ABS. They sent "A Golden Hand Moving and Storage". Because these people were so late picking my stuff up and I had to fly out within hours, I had no choice but to sign their papers. 3 days after the local mover picked my stuff up, he calls me to tell me the move is now going to cost me over $2,000.00 based on the weight of the items. No way in hell my items weighed 1,000lbs over the original estimate. When I said I wanted those items weighed where I was now residing and it was supposed to be shipped, they refused. They then wanted the remaining balance of the move up front before they would ship my stuff from Denver to New Hampshire, again not part of my contract with ABS. The agreement being %20 down, %50 of the remaining estimate upon pick-up and the remainder due upon delivery. There is no way I will pay this company in full before I see any of my stuff. They already have enough of my money. They are now holding my stuff hostage and I am going to report there scam to the Attorney Generals Office of the State of Maryland where ABS is and to the Attorney Generals Office of the State of Colorado where "A Golden Hand" is . Unless you don't mind being swindled and waiting for months while you try to get your stuff moved through legal avenues, I highly advise you to stay clear of this company.
