Stay away from Adcraft and Admiral Craft products. They're Chinese Junk

I purchased 3 nice looking stainless steel refrigeration units from a distributor of Adcraft products about 3 months ago. They were in cartons wrapped and look like they just came off the assembly line. I stored them for a month then plugged them in. As they turned on I thought I was on the runway at JFK airport and 3 jets were taking off at the same time. The noise was deafening. They rattled like chitty chitty bang bang and they do this each time they run in cooling mode. (that's when they are on)

So I called up the Adcraft Company and was transferred to Ray who asked me to get the Serial No's off the back of the units. I called him back with the numbers but got his voice mail. I waited 2 days and called back when he didn't return the cal and got him live this time. He said that those units could not be serviced under warranty. I asked why and he said they were used. I told him they were packed in plastic, had the warranty cards and I was told by the distributor that they had a 5 year warranty. He said sorry, the warranty cards were put in there by mistake and I would have to take that up with the company I bought them from (who was very helpful all the way). I called them and they said that Adcraft (Admirla Craft) was very problematic in dealing with any defects or service related issues and he discontinued dealing with them. He sent a service tech out and his guy said that it was built with cheap nosy parts and to fix it would be like re-manufacturing the unit. He said try to get Adcraft to deal with it.

The units look great but are typical Chinese junk. Apparently Adcraft and Admiral Craft feel no responsibility to do any kind of customer service and just take your money and run.

Ray had the nerve to say, "I should see if something is loose" in the refrigeration compartment and maybe that would stop the rattling. I actually did that before the distributor's service tech came but nothing was loose that I could find. While I was on the phone with Ray, the refrigerator came on and I asked if he could hear it in the background? Yes he said of course. But he said Adcraft wasn't going to do anything for me.

So now I'm stuck with $10,000 worth of Adcraft noisy refrigerators. The only blessing is when my wife yells at me for buying Adcraft Junk, It's hard to hear what she's saying because of the noise. Stay away from anything with the Adcraft or Admiral Craft name on it. It's Junk

Your sentiments were so in-line with the feelings I have about Adcraft.

I didn't purchase the equipment, I don't own the equipment... I USE the equipment.

The line is poorly designed, and falls apart constantly.

This is just a warning to buisness owners who are making an investment in thier restraunt.

The Adcraft Make-Line I am forced to use daily, is s**t. So much so, I am taking time to write about it.

There; frustrations alleviated somewhat. I can't wait for the day we pitch this crap line into the garbage.

It appears it is much more difficult to retract a complaint than it should be. Ripoff report doesn't seem to have any mechanism to remove a negative comment by the original poster.  But I'd like to have the public and Ripoff report take note that ALL of my issues have been resolved in a timely manor and to my full satisfaction. This retraction seems to be the only avenue to reverse my previous comments and state again that it was simply a missed call and time lag problem and Adcraft should not be seen in a negative light. Good News Update

Well, Apparently I was premature in my report on Adcraft and shortly after I uploaded my complaint and before it even hit this site, Adcraft had notified me that they were in the process of handling my problems. It looks like I had wrong info on their intentions and it looks like EVERYTHING will be OK. I guess I should have waited another day before filing my complaint and could have avoided all of this.

My thanks to my distributor, Adcraft for their prompt action and my apologies to both for my being premature with my report.
