Advanced Moving Systems rip-off deceptive company screwed others too deceptive company Sunrise Florida
In december before my move I began to look online for a mover.I search for a few days and recieved qoutes from 10 different companies. In my qoutes I stated that I would be transporting roughly 2500lbs.. I recieved qoutes ranging from 900.00 and as high as 4500.00.
I settled on a qoute for 1100.00 from advanced moving systems.Two days later I contacted advanced moving to inform them that I would be taking an additional item a motorcycle,they called me back and said there would be an additional charge of 500.00 I agreeded and the 23rd of dec. was the date of the pickup.
On the 23rd I recieved a call from the movers @ 8:30am informing me that they would arrive between the hours of 11am and 1Pm.When they finally arrived at 7pm, they went right to work.When they got all the items in the truck they informed me that I went over on cubic feet(150 to be exact) I told them that I was qouted in pounds.
They told me that typically if you call the co. that they will work with you on the overage.I said ok and paid the deposit(50%down 1200.00).In the contract it states that they will deliver your things in 7 to 10 business days.I'm not miffed by being a day late or two,I'm more pissed at the way that that the way the qoute was handled and my many calls to the company were handled.
When I call and tried to get an explaination on my qoute, I was told by a foriegnor with a heavy accent that they dont give qoutes by the pound( which they did) And the extra charge of 750.00 would have to be paid for me to recieve my things.I told him that I didnt like the way he was conducting business.He told me that he did'nt care,and for me to do what I had to do.
Keep in mind there is 10K motorcycle on a truck somewhere.I have called every day past the tenth business day as agreed and recieved a different answer every day from a different foriegn person. I still have not recieved any of my things,nor Have I recieved a straight answer from anyone at advanced moving.I'm remotely close to getting on a plane and going to florida and knocking on the front door.

Hi there - I, too, was horribly scammed by Advanced over a year ago. I was the first in the country to get an arrest out of these fools. It was over 7 weeks before I even FOUND my stuff. Please don't go after them personally, as you are suggesting. They don't give legitimate addresses for anything and you will be sent on a wild goose chase. Maybe even one that will lead you to danger. Be careful.... Please post your questions below. I will be more than happy to help you in any way that I can.
