Do not attempt to use this check until you call. Contact claim agent within 10 business days. CLAIMS/DISBURSEMENT AGENT STEVE COLLINS - DIRECTLINE: 1-416-731-3903 Note: office hours 9am - 7pm M-F and 10am - 5pm Sat. Congratulations. Yours Truly, Frank R. Withfiled (Promotion Manager)
I opened a new bank account and deposited the check, (the check looked authentic, a real bank name and my name was on the check).I called him back and he said because I opened a new account the check will take longer to clear. To avoid the 10 day time limit to claim my winnings I should send him at least $1000.00 of the tax money by the next day.
That is when I went online and put in the company's name and found the site www.ripoffreport.com where others reported the same company. I also learned that if you win from Canada you don't pay taxes and if you win a sweepstakes in the US you get the check first and then pay the IRS directly.
I did not send them any money but I would like to see these people arrested. The address they gave me for sending the tax money via MONEYGRAM was MEG MILLION 864 Bank St. Ontario, Canada N6B2R1.
