I am the author of "Consultant Left Holding The Bag" complaint. After hearing from Sandy Weisman, husband of Allison Weisman who owns AllieCat Jewelry, apparantly the following three corrections need to be made to my complaint:
I have not yet confirmed that the company continues to accept phone calls because they never answered their phone during the business hours that I made unsuccessful attempts to reach a live person. Everytime I called their phone number the answering machine said for me to leave a message.
Sandy Weisman claims he has not been affilliated with AllieCat Jewelry for quite some time, however, he continues to maintain an email that is linked to AllieCat Jewelry - www.alluradesigns.com - which will take you to AllieCat Jewelry if you click on "click here to visit our new website". Allura Designs has a big logo of AllieCat Jewelry right on their home page. I have pasted the following information from the Allura Designs website below:
As of today, 05/15/2013, Sandy Weisman is listed as the founder or co-founder of Allure Designs and AllieCat Jewelry at the following 2 websites:
http://www.alluradesigns.com/Makingalluragems.html
http://www.alluradesigns.com/ourstory.html
The main concern I had when posting all the information you have read here is so that anyone who is interested in doing business with AllieCat Jewelry knows how they run their business, and to be sure to have everything in writing before sending them your money. I do not mean any harm to AllieCat Jewelry or to their future success, I am just asking for them to keep their promise to me and be the decent corporate citizen as I am sure they would like to be known for.

Within one month of ordering $250.00 worth of jewelry and catalogs (sales kit) to become an AllieCat Sales Consultant, Sanford (Sandy) Weisman and Allison Weisman have changed the name of their company to Half Price Jewelry and no longer are answering their telephone calls or emails. At the time when I first spoke with Allison about becoming an AllieCat Consultant, she promised a full refund if I was not fully satisfied with the products or services. It also stated the same thing on their website (unfortunately they have shut down that part of the AllieCat website now). When I received my sales kit inventory, and inspected the product, it was apparant that the product was a much inferior quality than I had been expecting. Because of the poor quality of materials (mostly the metals used but also some of the glass was defective), and the bracelets being so small that only someone with an extremely small wrist could wear most of them, I immediately knew that I was not going to be representing this company or their product. I scheduled on my calender to contact Alison within 30 days of receiving the sales kit to request the full refund she had promised. About 3 weeks after receiving my inventory, I received an email from Allison Weisman stating the company is changing their name to Half Price Jewelry and they would be discontinuing the AllieCat direct selling business and the "back office" will be shut down. Immediately it was clear what was happening and I decided not to wait any longer - make the call to her NOW in order to get my money back! Well, you guessed it! Allison nor anyone else has been available to answer my calls ever since! I have written multiple emails directly to Allison as well as Consultant Services without any response from either parties. I have left multiple phone calls to her as well as her staff.
The bottom line? I signed up in good faith that the company would be there for me if I had a problem. Allison and her husband have proven they are not trustworthy, ethical, or honest. Don't do business with these people or the same unfortunate situation can happen to you! Allison - do the right thing and respond to my calls and emails.
Below is the email I received from Allison on April 15th, 2013:
