I was contacted in April of 2007 about a $2000 credit card. I was supposedly approved for this card. Not one tiem did the man tell me that it was a card to be used only on line or that you had to put money up before you could use the card.

He told me that i had to pay $200 to get the card. In May he took the moeny out of my account. I was told that within 30 days I would get my card. I never recieved it. I still haven't.

I called the company numerous times to request a refund. I was told that it would take 30 days. By that time it was too late for my bank to dispute the money, they have a 60 day rule.

I am still trying to get my money back. I have contacted them numerous tiems and I keep getting a run around.

Attorney General to the rescue

Contact the Florida State Attorney General. They can help you. They will give you the numbers that you need and after you have filed a complaint with them they will contact the business you are reporting within 3-4 business days on your behalf. You can either file a complaint on line or in writing. Either way it should get the job done. There are numerous reports from consumers on American Financial. Add yours to it and they will investigate for criminal activities. Scamming is a crime. Everybody's story counts!!

American Financial denied my refund for wrong reason

American Financial finally sent me a letter denying my refund. They said that they reviewed the recording and did not see any wrong doing. Well how about the fact that they did not hold up their end of the deal. Months later I still have not recieved my package and my card. That was the reason for my refund. Three of their employees have stated that I am due a refund. Vonice no longer works there. Shawn has said I should recieve a refund. I told Claude about this website and he also said I was due a refund. And now Andre Davis is "going to bat" for me. I now have to go to the executive council to see if I can get my refund because the DCD denied it. Mysteriously though I can not get through to anybody any where but customer service. The DCD does not have a phone and neither does the executive committee. Somebody please help me and tell me what I need to do! My bank said that I waited too long to ask them to stop it, but that is becasue AF said that they would refund my money... I made a mistake but my family shouldn't have to pay a price like this. This company is still in business so there should be some way to stop them.
