AMERICAN VAN LINES, INC. FEI # 650607772, OWNERS: DI SORBO, ARE SISTER MOVING BUSINESS OWNERS WITH UNITED STATES VAN LINES, CHECK THEM OUT AT WWW.SUNBIZ.ORG, AND PUT OWNERS LAST NAME, DI SORBO, THEY OWN A BUNCH OF BUSINESSES WITH DIFFERENT NAMES, BECAUSE OF ALL THE MALICIOUS AND TAINTED BUSINESS THEY DO, KEEP SWITCHING NAMES TO TRICK THE GOVERNMENT AND CLIENTS AND OR CUSTOMERS, THEY BOTH CAME TO MY HOUSE AND GAVE ME DIFFERENT ESTIMATES, I DID NOT KNOW THIS AT THE TIME AND CHOSE UNITED, AT THE TIME OF PICK UP, GUESS WHAT TRUCK SHOWED UP, AMERICAN VAN LINES, THEY ARE ALL LIARS, ONCE YOU SIGN AND BOOK, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU OR ANYTHING THEY PUT ON THE CONTRACT WITH YOU, THE DESTROYED ALL MY BELONGINGS, THEIR TRUCK HAD A LEAK AND AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY, THE TRUCKER TOLD ME, I WAS GOING TO BE VERY DISSAPOINTED, THAT HE HAD BEEN TELLING THE OWNERS ABOUT THE LEAK IN THE TRUCK FOR MONTHS AND THEY HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT, EVERYTHING WAS DAMAGED, ALL MY WOOD FURNITURE, MY LEATHER SECTIONAL WAS DRIPPING WET, WITH WHITE SPOTS ALL OVER, MY CLOTHING WHICH WERE IN GARMENT BAGS, WERE DESTROYED, ALL MOLDED, COMING APART, EVERYTHING WAS SCRATCHED, BROKEN GLASS TABLES....

I PAID FOR ALL MY MATTRESSES TO BE CRATED, THEY DID NOT CRATE ANYTHING OR BOX, THEY NEVER CAME ON THE DATE THEY SAID, SO I HAD TO STAY AT A HOTEL, DUE TO MY UTILITIES BEING SHUT OFF, THEY DONT ANSWER THE PHONE, I HAD TO PUSH CREDIT AND SO THEY WOULD THINK THEY WERE GETTING SOME FORM OF PAYMENT, THAT IS THE ONLY WAY, THEY ANSWERED THE PHONE, WHEN THEY FINALLY FOUND SOMEONE TO PICK ME UP, THEY SHOWED UP IN THE AFTERNOON, INSTEAD OF IN THE MORNING AGAIN, I HAD PETS AND CHILDREN, NO UTILITIES AGAIN, IT WAS A NIGHTMARE, THEY WERE IN MY HOUSE TILL 4AM WITH LESS MAN POWER THAN THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO SHOW UP AND STILL DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH ROOM IN THE TRUCK FOR ALL MY STUFF, SO I HAD TO GO TO ANOTHER HOTEL THAT NIGHT AND WAIT FOR ANOTHER SMALLER TRUCK TO COME PICK UP MY STUFF THE NEXT DAY, THEY HAVE NEVER PAID ME BACK FOR THE ITEMS I PAID TO BE CRATED AND BOXED, THEY SCRATCHED MY WOOD FLOORS, I FAXED IN A REQUEST FOR A CLAIM FOR INTENT TO FILE AS THEY REQUESTED AND NEVER SENT ME ANY FORM.

I PURCHASED THE EXTRA INSURANCE THROUGH, INSURANCE.COM FOR FULL REPLACEMENT VALUE, WHICH WAS HANOVER INSURANCE GIVEN TO CLAM CO. FROM SEATTLE WASHINGTON TO TAKE CARE OF AND AFTER MONTHS , SINCE AUGUST 2008, THEY SENT ME A LETTER THEY WERE ONLY COVERING 2 ITEMS !!!!

I JUST CRIED AND COULD NOT BELIEVE, THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE SO COLD AND INHUMANE, KNOWING EVERYTHING WE HAVE GONE THROUGH. I HAVE RECEIPTS FOR EVERY ITEM I HAVE THAT WE PURCHASED, I HAVE PICTURES I TOOK OF ALL COMING OFF THE TRUCK, VIDEOS AND PROOF. AND THEY WILL HAVE THEIR DAY..

PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ANY OF THE MAFIA PEOPLE, THAT'S THE TYPE OF PEOPLE THEY WOULD LIKE TO BE.......

YOU WILL BE SORRY, AND WHITE GLOVE SERVICE THEY ARE NOT.......

TRUST ME.........

AND DONT BUY ANY EXTRA INSURANCE IT WONT MAKE A DIFFERENCE, THEY COVER EACH OTHER WITH EXCUSES AND I BELIEVE IT WILL ALL COME BACK TO THEM, IN TIME....

Oh, AVL answers ALL questions alright! First, they have ALL the answers set so that you feel at ease and confident. Once they secure your MONEY, they come up with ALL totally contrary answers!

This company is referred to as a "scam moving company" and here are some things you should know:

Your will never pay the amount of the estimate, usually you will end up paying about 2x the estimate.

You will not receive your things on the contract delivery date normally

Your stuff will be handled without caution or care

They will try and extort as much money as possible from you and possibly even threaten you with violence

Your goods will most probably not be delivered on the day you expect them.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our company does not believe in misleading or misinforming our customers. Before our customers obtain our services to assist them in their relocation, we forward all the necessary documents for the customers to review and we encourage our customers to carefully read all said documents to ensure there are no questions left unanswered. We maintain a contractual tariff level of liability that is authorized under Released Rates Orders of the Surface Transportation Board of the U.S. Department of Transportation. We also customarily make every effort to avoid losing, damaging or destroying any of the customers items while the shipment is in transit. However, despite the precautions taken, items are sometimes lost or damaged during the relocation. Furthermore, Ms. Levy purchased additional insurance for her move and based on the documentation signed the insurance company settled her claim accordingly. We had nothing to do with the claim settlement from the Insurance Company.

Regarding her issue with the packing, we sent a document to review, sign and return to our in order to receive a refund in the amount of $475.45. Ms. Levy never returned the completed document accepting our offer; as a result a refund was never issued. Although Ms. Levy may feel that she did not receive the service she expected. Our representatives assisted her throughout the move. Ms. Levy was informed that pickup and delivery dates were estimated and not guaranteed, however she was delivered within the estimated delivery spread. The movers will make every attempt possible to pickup and deliver the customer within the agreed upon timeframe.

Even though Ms. Levy was not satisfied with the settlement from our office or from the insurance company; both parties made every attempt possible to resolve Ms. Levy's issues to the best of their abilities.

Hi Levy Aaron family. It is no use to even hire a lawyer for these scumbags. I had the exact same thing happen to me. I got a lawyer contact the fbi and the media and i never got anywhere. Everything I had was ruined. I got a big whooping check for $187 thats it yet my damage was in the thousands. However if you want to harass them the dumb owner anthony disorbo his personal information such as his address and home phone are on 411.com i actually called him at his house when my stuff was supposed to be delivered he freaked out but maybe it takes phone calls and letters to his house to make our point. His brother Also was actually convicted of fraud and scam yet this family still gets away with ruining our lives. I pray i never see an american van lines truck as if i do their tires will be flat
