America's Servicing Company If you have been denied a loan modification, tell your story to Obama. San Francisco California
I am a homeowner on the brink of foreclosure. I sent my story to President Obama begging for help. The Making Homes Affordable program is too difficult to navigate and I didn't qualify. My mortgage payment is 31% of my gross but after taxes 55% of my net. The affordability should be based on the net not the gross. This needs to be changed NOW. The Making Homes Affordable is a failure as far as I can see.
If a homeowner is on the brink of foreclosure it is obvious that they should not be further penalized by basing new mortgage payment affordability on gross income. Social Security, Medicare, state taxes, federal taxes, county taxes, real estate taxes, gas taxes, sales tax, and more has dwindled income to a ghost image of the gross when you look at bottom line net. We are being taxed to death.
I know that my story isn't the only one out there. I want to combine my story with others to show strength in numbers to bring these stories to Obama. I think he is only hearing one side of the stories--financial institutions and political pundits. Let's tell him first hand why the homeowner stimulus is not working and why.
