Ascensacion Zip-Rush, ProjectZipline, Stephan Bernier Theft, Blackmail and Fraud Quebec, Quebec
From 2010 to 2011, this company committed numerous acts of fraud, theft and blackmail. They are a construction company that designs and builds ziplines ( a type of adventure activitity ) but in the process of building our zipline, they stole a large sum of money from us.
They accomplished this with a variety of methods. One method was to use our credit card without our permission, racking up thousands of dollars in debt.
Another method was to use fake invoices to misrepresent the cost of materials used in the zipline. For example, they claimed our steel zipline cable cost $15,000 USD. But after we did an audit of the source that provided the cable, we discovered it had only cost $10,000 USD. Ascensacion used this con to steal $5,000 USD.
On another occasion, we discovered that $600 USD was missing from our hotel room, while the owner of the company was in our room. We have no proof he took it, unlike the other crimes discovered in this rip-off report, but we strongly suspect it was him.
Another crime was to sell us merchandise, and then never send it. For example, he sold us $1000 USD worth of PETZL helmets, and then never sent us the helmet. At first he claimed the helmets were stuck in customs, but as the time passed he simply admitted that he never had sent them.
