Why would anybody leave a "diesel truck and trailer, full of pallet orders" in a vacant lot? Maybe the owner was tired of having rigs left in his lot. It sounds to me as if towing might have been the least of his problems. It just as easily could have been stolen. Try explaining that to the trucking company. How many hours or days HAD it sat in the vacant lot?
