Ashford University Rip Off My Financial Aid Money by 800.xx then found a 1,100.00 mistake that they owe Internet
I had to be persistent that Ashford University owed me money but after four months of sending e mails to the dispute center I finally found someone that found the mistake. So, I get my 800.xx back, then I thought, I will re enroll as I had withdrawn because of the money issue and more problematic was the student advisor I had. She is the worst and still to this day as of yesterday she was. I had sat there after I finally found someone that found error in my favor for the 800.xx amount, I thought I would re enroll. After asking to re enroll the same student advisor said great! I will try to get you into classes on July 10th if not by July 17th. I emailed her and asked for her to call me, all the while, I was getting collection e mails and notices already and while telling her that I wanted to change my degree, she said to do HIS103 again, and she was the one who told me to withdraw in week five with a 95% as I had to recover from surgery. Had I known because I am a disabled student and got extra time, I would have never dropped that course. Here is the punchline, yesterday I get this e mail stating that I am using FAFSA funds for a school I am not enrolled in!! I really thought I was getting re enrolled. So, I go looking into another University as I had been this whole time actually and made my choice as I did not want to change everything up, if you know what I mean. I noticed a huge error on their part in the amount of 1,1xx.xx!! Yes! Over a thousand dollar error on my behalf that they owe me. They charged me two times for another class when I had to have surgery and I had to withdraw, however as long as I passed in which I did with a B+ in Science I would get my funds back for the class I had to withdraw from. Now, I filed for a grievance again, in the meantime, I have filled and updated my FAFSA to go elsewhere. As long as you are persistent on the money they owe you, you will finally get it, but you have to be, otherwise they just tell you that they are in the correct position and you the student is wrong. Whoever handles the grievances for this company in the accounting department stinks badly! They won't fess up to their mistakes, and it was plainly obvious as I copied and pasted my informal transcripts for this other College, as they think they are so smart when you click on the link for unofficial transcripts they won't let you and have a hold on your account, but if you know what to do, which is easy, copy, paste and put it in word, this is when I saw the huge boo boo they had made! The double charge of my Science class. By the way, my "Wellness Advisor" went in front of the "board" as she said, which I am sure is via internet from her home to whomever or there may not be one, who knows because I cannot trust them, but I was told that they the board had approved me not getting charged again for this class because I had the proper documentation regarding this surgery and I passed the class. Help! I need this other amount of money so I can pay them the 82.xx that I owe them as I have no money left. They have left me so in a rage and gone crazy by the time I de enrolled and now finding this, I would love to pay that amount off and move on.
