ATRAF Moving & Storage ATRANS Moving & Storage I have been ripped off and scammed by the worst Passaic New Jersey
At the beginning of May I contacted a number of moving companies and requested quotes for a move from Pittsfield, MA to Beverly Hills, FL I received at least 10 quotes with ATRAF/ATRANS being the lowest quote. So needless to say I hired this scam company. These guys are smooth and have all their t's crossed and their i's dotted. I checked to see if they were credited with the BBB and at that time they were under the name of ATRANS and at the point in time I did not know that they also used the name ATRAF. If I knew that they went by another name I could have check to see that they had 43 complaints against them prior to my hiring them . I gave them my credit card number and the first charge was $100.00 deposit.
They continued to play the Mr. Nice Guy game. They told me they had their own trucks and for me not to worry that I would have my items picked with their truck on June 30 and I would have my items by July 6. On June 30 a Budgent Rental pulled up at my 28 Lyric Street address I phoned and spoke with Guy and he assured me that I need not worry that all the company trucks were out and they always use rentals to pick up the slack. So I agreed they could take all my worldly possessions, alot of the items that I was having shipped to my Florida address were heirlooms and items that can't ever be replaced, sentimental items can't ever be replaced.
On July 2 Mr. Yuval phoned me and told me. that I he had some bad news that the weight and price which I was quoted was incorrect the quote was 2,000 lbs at $.42 a pound or $924.00 and the new quote is 6,000 lbs (and there is no way that I had that much weight) at $.42 a pound $2,520. plus 10% $252. plus $200. for crating an antique mirror and 2 tiffany lamps, plus a number of wall hangings. I was promised delivery by July 6, then July 9, then July 11 and then July 12 or the 13th. It is now 4:00 pm on Sunday July 13 and I have not heard or seen any of my items. I closed out my credit card on Friday July 9 and thank goodness I did that.
I just happened to see the ripoff report on line today and this is why I am writing my report. I have a feeling the reason I don't have some ripoff artist from Florida sitting in my driveway requesting $750.00 so that I can receive my merchandise is, ATRAF must have tried to charge more to my credit card on Friday but I beat them to the punch. But they still are holding more than $20,000. worth of merchandise and a lot of sentimental items that are worth more than money can buy. But that means nothing to these types of criminals. How do they every get DOT licenses and State licenses is beyond me. Hopefully these guys will get caught someday and pay for these crimes they commit against people especially senior citizens. And I as a senior citizen will do my utmost to have this type of rif-raf put in their places.

They have no State or Federal moving License. I contacted the New Jersey State Attorney Generals Office today and found they do not have a legal license anymore and there Fed transportation license was revoked on December 22, 2008. I also used this company for out of state move and was ripped off!! I have 1/2 my stuff missing and a lot of broken items. The claim department is a third party and has no idea what this company does or does not have as far as license. I am following up with Attorney and State and federal offices to stop this company and see if I can bring a major lawsuit against them. Any info would help me. If you have more info or contact info or any other names this company went by contact me

A-TRANS MOVING & STORAGE is giving the best service to customers, Mrs. G was picked up on the 30th of June 2008; she was notified that the delivery is between 14-21 Business days. We gave her an outstanding service beyond expected; In fact she called after the pickup and said that the crew was very polite and professional. Mrs. G is scheduled to be delivered on Friday 7-17-2008. She will receive additional discount, our main goal is to bring all the belongings safe & sound to the new location, We are trying to make all of our customers happy, But unfortunately there are some people that are not happy with their life and take out On every body ells! On Monday, July 14. 2008 after not receving again another promised delivery I phoned the FBI. I was told that because my move was an intra state that the FBI should now become involved. The agent I spoke with was very pleasant and understanding he asked what the value of the shipment was and he in turn explained that if the value exceeded $100,000. the would be able to get involved and went on to explain that the FBI just doesn't have enough people to get involved. But he was kind enough to call the company and try to light a fire under then. It helped for a brief time. The owner Yuval who goes by 3 alias' phoned me to again promise me a delivery of Tuesday evening July 15. I was told that my items were on an ATRAN truck and was given a drivers name of Chaim and a cell number that I could contact this person on which is 201/9544944 to get a specific time that the delivery was to be made. Much to my suprise when I phoned the message stated that I had reached HB Van Lines I left a message and Chaim returned my call. He said that he would nnot be unable to deliver on Tuesday and that Wednesday would be a possiblility but maybe thursday. I have been phoning both companies and getting no where. I was never told or even asked if it would be ok to transfer my belongings from one company to another but I guess this is another was to cover themselves. Now I have no idea where my shipment is. I don't think I will ever see any of my belongings again and I will have to live with this stupid decision that I made by choosing and trusting these low lifes. But as the saying goes every dog has there day. I don't know how these people can sleep nights but people from third world countries don't give a d**n as long as they can get rich by stealing from others.

As of Monday, July 14 I still have not heard anything from this company regarding the status of my merchandise. I haven't spoken to Guy since he hung up on me Friday and would not return any of my phone or e-mail messages. My delivery date was to be as of yesterday, July 13 still have not seen or heard from Yuval with the (3) different last names or from the Salesman, Mr. Guy Smooth Talker as to where in Limbo my merchandise is that should have been delivered . I can't believe this company can get away with scamming so many people especially senior citizens (me) and the law cannot do anything about it. Figgy
