We switched from cable to AT&T dish based on statements about a totally digital tv service and a monthly cost of $49 per month. The first bill arrived in excess of $100.

We called AT&T who denied making such statements. We called Dish Network and told them what had happened and to disconnect immediately! We also repeatedly asked for pre labelled boxes so we could return the satellite receiver at their expense as their agent, AT&T had grossly misrepresented the service to us.

Dish Network refused to comply.

We have just received a telephone call saying they will charge our Visa card for the receiver, and they are sending us pre labelled boxes for the return of the receiver THREE MONTHS after we first requested the boxes!!!

Despite the fact that the service was misrepresented by their agent, AT&T, Dish network is insisting that they can do this under the contract. This is despite the fact that in all 50 states, a misrepresented contract invalidates any and all terms within that contract!!

Basically, Dish is going to fraudulently remove funds from our credit card account without our consent, until they get the receiver back, even though we offered to return the reciever (at their expense) over three months ago!!!
